Why make it an injection? I've seen the musical before and its always been a potion like in the book, and they even keep in the bit about it in the throat which would only make sense if he drank it...
Okay, yeah, Hasselhoff has some issues in the scene, but he really is giving it his all in this role throughout the whole show. People need to understand that this is a freaking HARD role to play in general, and despite Hasselhoff's lack of experience and training, he is still quite decent overall. I'd like to see the haters get up on stage and do this show eight times a week. Because the Hoff here is probably better than them.
You can at least say he tried and made an admirable effort... admittedly there was some bad acting, but when I went to see the UK Tour with Marti Pellow, he was just 'not' acting at all.
Wow, I just about died of laughter from the "Oh dear God, oh God! What is this? Something is happening, I can't explain!" I love the musical Jekyll and Hyde, but my gosh. I wish they cast someone else for the recording other than Hasselhoff.
It great that Dr Jekyll numbs his arm when putting in the needle and Hyde just stabs it in his leg (later). The Hoff's whole "Oh God!" bit was hysterical! :D
"Suddenly, uncontrolled! Something is taking hold!"
He's such a horrible actor in this but I must admit it was funny when he did some of these lines. The whole "noticeable behavioral differences" was supposed to be a joke but he just added some more, i guess.... I wish there was a rob evan version i could see...
He's terrible. Just pure awful. I honestly don't see how anyone can take his performance seriously and say he did a good job. He ruined the show. He caused it to close BECAUSE he sucks.
We analyzed this scene in my theatre class and the "Oh, dear God!" part was so hilarious, we burst out laughing. But then we shut up, for his singing in pain. And I love "Alive."
Either it's the acting or the singing, I'm not sure, but it gives me chills.
Aww I was so ready for the "oh god" moment to be scary but this made me laugh. I had started to feel faith in Hoff.... yeah it kind of died her. Hyde is supposed to be frighteningly, criminal and yet seductive. Hoff just makes him seem wako.
The Hoff becomes of both these characters SO perfectly. The gentlemanly, almost reluctance of Jekyll, and the pure mischevious and evil of Hyde. Applause your way, Mr. David.
we're watching this in school. I love Broadway musicals, but Hasselhoff kind of ruined this show for me...

Why is he still able to sing if he's in "breathtaking pain"? Just saying. I don't think I'd be able to talk

I freaking love Emma. She's just a good a character as Lucy. She's independent, witty, and not afraid to let other people know what she thinks.

On that "Oh, dear God!" bit, he should have screamed it! That would have make him a much better actor.

Well, he's definitely a better Hyde than he is a Jekyll. I'll give him that much.

At least he tried his best right? Sure he's not an opera singer, and he could use some training, but he put in what he could..

"Oh god, oh GOD!"
