I love this man, completely inspirational. Now I've applied to study English Language and Linguistics at University, all because of David Crystal, a true hero of mine. x
That 's right, all the words into any language anywhere in the world evoluted from somewhere and they were made up somewhere which it is known as etimology part of linguistic philosophy that it studies the words, origin and their changes there isn't anything new about it, this is only a statement, but now i wonder that 's an interesting David Crystal 's video.

I have two words for you, David, when it comes to true mastery of the English language: Stephen Fry. And you are not him. Take a reality pill and realise that you are an average man with an average talent selling average books. You're not Fry and neither you nor he is Jean François Champollion.
Funny that Stephen Fry backs up some of the ideas that Crystal supports as well - not only him, of course, if you know something about languages in general, you'll see there is vast bibliography on the subject.
Reality pills might take a little time to swallow - ideas on languages have changed dramatically in the past 100 years or so but many people still think like they did back in the 19th century!!
Crystal is so passionate about words, and because he's such a magnificent writer he's wonderful at making that enthusiasm infectious. I'm reading one of his books, the 'Cambridge Encyclopedia of the English Language.' That's right, I'm reading an encyclopedia. Front to back. And loving it ^^
Bagonising... what a complete legend this man is!
