  • The Chordettes also had an American vocal version which just brushed the Billboard pop charts. Nana Mouskouri's recording of this was a hit all over Europe.

  • This was originally featured in a 1961 German film, "Traumland der Sehnsucht" {which translates into the English title}. David Carroll, long associated with Mercury records in the '50s and early '60s, had a "Top 40" hit with this in February 1962.
