There shouldn't even be oil companies. Get on with other forms of energy. 2010, not 1910. If you think that is funny, you should live in the cancer cluster close to where I live 10 years ago.
major oil companies could care less about ground water contamination.. but its the responsibility of the people to rise and fight. by having independent tests, privately funded bio-enginneers and geologist testify to this unsightly scenario. if the people are too frightened, do not have the will to fight these treasonous conglomorates then there will be no future. people today are just too damn comfortable. only when thirst, famine, death come knocking will it be too late. FIGHT NOW.. & live
@danmarino1970 - i agree but, it is the responsibility of the oil company to clean up ground water contamination, it is the LAW. Same goes for mining companies, it is mandatory that the company rehabilitates the site they disturbed.
@danmarino1970 Yes I agree Dan! im in measurement of groundwater here in Australia and its all about count it not care for it!....we will learn the hard way me thinks?!
I live on a ranch on the border of mexico in South Texas. We have a lot of oilfield activity and I can tell you that the major oil companies here could care less about ground water contamination. Our fresh ground water is at 20 feet. In the old days, ranchers dug wells by hand for the cattle. Now a days, we have oil and contamination coming up our wood fence posts. Abandoned pipelines spread the contamination. It is really frustrating.
