I care! Tecumseh (or the actual Shawnee pronunciation "THU-UM-THKA") has been my chidhood hero sice I was 5 years old. It lead me to study my own American Indian heritage, American Indian culture and history...as well as American History in general....It all started with TECUMSEH!
Well, nobody really cares. Tecumseh as a historical figure has waned in name and importance. I don't think Natives dwell on significant people and places like other cultures. I guess it's more of living in the now. Besides, the Return of Tecumseh and Tenskwatawa2 are here. These are past pieces.
i cant find even one traditional Shawnee song! curse those missionaries!! why did they erase everything?? we will never hear what Tecumseh heard around the camp fire.
A lot of the songs were preserved. I guess they just don't post online. There are Shawnee groups here in Ohio and the surrounding areas that still sing the songs. I've been there. And, yes, they're in the Shawnee language, too. (You stand for honor songs.)

2- to eastern natives, this place must have the signifigance of Jerusalem!! since theyre only saviour, Tecumseh, was born here!
