I really didn't have an opinion about Josh until I heard him sing this song. I've been playing it again and again ever since. I think the rest of his performances blend in with the other talent on the show because everybody's good. This type of high-energy performance will help him turn heads and win the competition. I would love to see more of this and fewer ballads.

As LA said, the only true rock performance of the night. It was as if i was listening to a superhit rock album records. One thing i like about this guy is that he doesnt jump or dance around the stage but still connects to the audience just through his sheer talent. He is the real thing!

This is the first I've seen of X Factor, to be honest. I guess I kind of boycotted it because I thought it was intended to be an Idol ripoff from the get-go. Then I saw this guy belt out this song, and the crowd going absolutely nuts, and I suddenly didn't give a shit anymore. That was, as they say, a KICK-ASS rock tune! I guess the boycott is over.

@garbobbage After watching X Factor (all season) it feels to me like Idol is a mediocre show now ... with mediocre talent ... comparing the talent I've seen on both shows. The singers that X Factor has had on their show, almost all were incredible. I'm glad you're going to give it a shot.

Not at all Josh's natural genre, see his pre-XF work, but he gave the only definite rock performance of the night and it was up around the "perfect" mark. People will buy Josh's albums and fill all sizes of venue to hear and see him live. Win the show or not is almost irrelevant for the real talents.

Well this is another side of him and he's better at screaming at us that other white boys but his other performances are far better and more impressive. This a way of showing some good range. Wish we could hear the judges and know where he's at with them.

Personally, I'd actually say this is his worst performance so far. He's still the best contestant. But his rendition of Jar of Hearts and With a Little Help From My Friends were so much more phenomenal.
