why do people think WoW necessitates "playing every night"? you don't HAVE to be a hardcore player. you don't HAVE to stick to a raid schedule. you don't HAVE to actually do anything you don't want to. and it's $15 freaking dollars a month; get a job and move out of mom's house if that's such a huge investment to you.
also, when anyone says that reading hundreds of flamer comments "was just so fun", it's pretty obvious that it wasn't, and you were actually quite butthurt over the matter.
#1 - you dungeion/quest grind up to lvl 85, takes alot of time. i dislike the storyline.
#2 - pvp realms are not really pvp, i never died in my pvp server as illidan, and blackrock.
#3 - once you get 85 you grind to get pvp gear / pve gear, verry time suck and as pve goes you find lots of dicks/"constructive critisim" type of people in raids.
I quit WoW after Cataclysm introduced that EXP > Community. I remember Vanilla and TBC were really great with the raiding with friends, etc. WotLK sort of ruined the base of people dungeoning as friends, and more as grudging sheep going with the flow. Cataclysm utterly DESTROYED all raiding community with the 4.3 patch with Raid Finder. Just... it's gone. I get my friends online and I can't even organize a raid anymore. It's just pathetic.
wierd. Your complaints about wow are not really important issues to me. I am more than happy to pay a monthly subscription for a good game. My biggest issue with wow are:
1. endless gear grinding
2. habitually poor ballance between classes
3. lack of world activity (everyone just sits in the cities)
4. classes that are constantly being gutted by Blizzard and redesigned in ways that remove fun abilities or completely alter the class's game play

READ THIS - Even though I don't play wow anymore because they ruined it, wow back then you didn't have to play hardcore, you could of been casual, but, your gear would suck and you wouldn't get in good guilds/raids. They make you pay because they add onto the game constantly and try to make it better (even though they got lazy and failed). I do agree they should reduce cost by a great amount though.

Where's the stimulation in making several vids on how you don't like an mmo? I know that came out as a question, but I obviously know why. I just think it's silly, considering you haven't REALLY played the game. By that, I mean you never lvld you character and decided wether you fancied the pve or player versus player aspect of it, which are really the two main aspects of the game. There's not a whole lot to debate about when the counter part has very little real experience with the game.

Wow didn't always suck, it was only after Cata was released that Wow became truly awful. Dungeons got harder, while the average player's base stupidity rose, and the only good players were off PvPing or playing arena matches. Not only that, cata brought a whole new level of bullcrap that needed not be (ie: Tauren paladins, or the elimination of Blood dps DK's which would have been better since cata relies on good CC)

I don't like WoW because it's still raiders raid, pvp'ers do battlegrounds or arena and all do the same grind, but in a different setting. PvE'ers memorize raid mechanics, review stat scaling, tweak addons and fight with each other. Pvp'ers memorize CDs, abilities, talents, comps, tweak addons and fight with each other. All finish a grind to continue another. I think blizzard should change the game radically, instead of doing the above 3 times over.

i play wow i will admit the 15 bucks .. is a bit much but it is a good game most people say they hate it becuase they comp sucks or... they cant aford it so .

So when i first started playing WoW, i didnt think much of the graphics at all, BUT i was willing to give a little up on the side of graphics for the great gameplay.
But for me, RuneScape is too much of a step down in graphics. I think Graphics ARE important, it helps the gameplay.
ow pls, the reasons ppl hate wow, is because, they are brainless noobs who can't even know how to even right click and attack, two, ppl who just take the opinion of others, who have played it and sucked, or have no knowleadge of the game, and 3rd reason is the daily payment for subscription and also, when ppl who are addicted to wow, they blame the game, because they are in denial, that they are caused their addiction them.
A good reason why it sucks because when actual quality gets made, they either dismiss it as a WOW ripoff or call it "WOW with X". I heard quite some good things about the new game Rift that just came out this week and Guild Wars 2 comes out some time int he future. SOE is already making sequels for both Everquest and Planetside.

i was close to addicted to wow.I started to play in wotlk,i ve got a lot of 80 s and i enjoyed the classic and burning content.Then the wotlk,had some things that i didn`t like,but i was doing high end for a time,some heroic raids,inthe TOC and ICC.But cataclysm is fucking boring,is a pain in the ass to play.I ve got a worgen hunter to lvl 85 and i left the game.There is nothing fun in this expansion,it sucks a lot

Wow didn't always suck, it was only after Cata was released that Wow became truly awful. Dungeons got harder, while the average player's base stupidity rose, and the only good players were off PvPing or playing arena matches. Not only that, cata brought a whole new level of bullcrap that needed not be (ie: Tauren paladins, or the elimination of Blood dps DK's which would have been better since cata relies on good CC)

I agree about wow being a hardcore MMO. I got a MMO for you, try the game Lord of the rings online. You do not have to spend allot of time on it. And the best MMO out there now, it looks amazing, feels amazing, just incredible is the RIFT. You should check it out. But you need a good computer.

I have wasted 2 years of my life playing this game.. well i noticed that life is much more amazing than a popular mmo game in which you make same things every day ( daily q gold farming etc. ) + u need to pay money for it. Maybe @ beginning it was fun but after few months your mind is thinking only about this game, even in real life well, thats not cool. In sum - wow is interesting but consumes too much time and money also. Alex.

I don't like WoW because it's still raiders raid, pvp'ers do battlegrounds or arena and all do the same grind, but in a different setting. PvE'ers memorize raid mechanics, review stat scaling, tweak addons and fight with each other. Pvp'ers memorize CDs, abilities, talents, comps, tweak addons and fight with each other. All finish a grind to continue another. I think blizzard should change the game radically, instead of doing the above 3 times over.

In wow I just get the feel that there is no treasure in a sense. You will never find any weapon or item that is significantly strong for a low lvl. Sure wow weapons look cool but I find there is nothing that really makes them that powerfull or even armour. The rune words was a great idea in diablo 2. What u guys think?

I play a few times a month.
I think the payment is small enough to not give a shit about NOT playing it.
My highest level is only 67, but im loving it.
Since i own an Xbox 360 AND a PS3, Ive gotta used to graphics.
So when i first started playing WoW, i didnt think much of the graphics at all, BUT i was willing to give a little up on the side of graphics for the great gameplay.
But for me, RuneScape is too much of a step down in graphics. I think Graphics ARE important, it helps the gameplay.

A good reason why it sucks because when actual quality gets made, they either dismiss it as a WOW ripoff or call it "WOW with X". I heard quite some good things about the new game Rift that just came out this week and Guild Wars 2 comes out some time int he future. SOE is already making sequels for both Everquest and Planetside.
I really hate when games like WOW and COD get all the fame and all the quality titles fade into obscurity. Fortunatly the Guitar Hero fad is finally gone.

i was close to addicted to wow.I started to play in wotlk,i ve got a lot of 80 s and i enjoyed the classic and burning content.Then the wotlk,had some things that i didn`t like,but i was doing high end for a time,some heroic raids,inthe TOC and ICC.But cataclysm is fucking boring,is a pain in the ass to play.I ve got a worgen hunter to lvl 85 and i left the game.There is nothing fun in this expansion,it sucks a lot

The only thing why wow sucks these days because its already too late to play the game many are already lvl 80 and high GS which means you'll be left behind everytime,you are excluded from raids because you have low GS.
