Using the BB/Solidus mask is kinda lame, but this guy makes up for it in his new-game bb rank which is just crazy good

I agree with the easy thing. MGS1 wasnt as hard as MGS2 though, 8 saves is horrible to work with. I missed out because i uesd 705/700 bullets...

That's the effect the facemask has on them. You only get the facemask once you've completed the game & achieved the Big Boss Emblem.

It's not that hard. If anything it has got easier to achieve the hardest accolade in each new MGS game. MGS4 doesn't even require a save restriction. Use this to your advantage. This will allow you to get each area done exactly as needed for a BBE run. Try it :) It's far more interesting if create your own routes too.

You must be thinking of MGS3's 25 save quota. MGS4 has no such limit. It doesn't cost time to save, so it doesn't need to be factored into the overall time requirement.

you can also download the save from gamefaqs,com that has everything (facecamos. camos, all weapons, stealth, bandana) if you cant do the boss extreme.

why did you throw stun grenades and put those things in the ground at some times

The Stun Grenades can access areas Snake can't reach at all and/or areas that he cannot reach quickly enough. It depends on the situation. The Sleep Gas Satchels are used when there is time between the appearence of the enemies and/or when using a Stun Grenade is too awkward. This allows me to detonate them at the exactly the time I require.

why did the frogs pass out when they see you?

Thanks. At a guess, I think because they are female the developer chose to make them react slightly different in comparison to the PMCs.

Thanks mate. Not quite. A Japanese Speedrunner has the fastest method, although I'm told it's not very different from this. I'm waiting for the vid to compare.

If you punch Meryl or knock the group down, then you can skip the whole sequence. Johnny does his "business" immediately after.

You'll be glad to know that I had already decided that my next run would be a New Game run. I'll be focusing on Act 1 for the time being. I've spent plenty of time on a Clear Game now. I need a break from that type.

It's not all recorded. The vids I put up here are all new. I've had to redo the sections as I did in my run so people can see how. I would have to do the whole run again to capture it all on video.
