The principle is all wrong! Wasting time on how to balalnce something on a stick.. Sorry guys,.. I could make a very sucessful unit myself but no time or money here..
Holy shit guys!!!! How did you get that thing to not go into another vector while it was landing?
HFS you should be right there on the next Mars lander because the biggest barrier to survivability is landing and JPL is not exactly 100% success rate.
I've seen Carmack's code; good but not a genious... just someone who got lucky, made some money is now playing. For some examples of real technology genious look up Burt Rutan or Paul MacCready.
yeah, one would think they could just ask the soviets how they managed to send unmanned probes to the moon and have some safely return....that is unless it was another hoax
Well if we see science fiction as all the cool stuff in 2001 and star trek on one side and all the stuff that falls to bits in things like Red Dwarf. Well, these guys are the red dwarf end of science fact. The skodas and trabants of space travel, if you will :)

Ha-ha, back to the Moon? :D You gotta kidding me.
GustavCalder 4 months ago
I thought we 've already landed to the moon, why we need the new technology for?
kousoulides 11 months ago
Will the final system autonomously land through machine learning algorithms?
The lunar landing is the most complex feat attempted by man or machine.

It's amazing how stable that armadillo lander is, it must have a gyroscope.
Wcoltd 3 years ago
Yes, that would be my guess too. Probably the sphere on top is the gyro...
