DBZ should've ended at the death of cell. the only good thing that the buu era had was the fight between goku and vegeta. when they were originally making the series and goku died against cell, the creators wanted gohan to become the new hero of the story, and have goku die permanently. However, the fans went nuts and so they brought goku back, resulting in them needing to ruin gohans character by making him a nerd and in the creation of goten, in an attempt to bring back a kid version of goku

Mystic Gohan is the highest level Gohan can ever achieve. Which makes him the most powerful (unfused) Z-fighter. It should have been Gohan that killed buu. It was so fitting too, because Gohan was at his peak and he was wearing Goku's uniform. But whatever....freaking Goku fanboys.

@bigtony142 That's what always frustrated me about this fight. Even after Buu absorbs Gotenks and powers up again, Gohan never powers up to SSJ or SSJ2. I'm sure he could have still won if he had only powered up. SO WHY DIDN'T HE?!?!?

Mystic Gohan is the highest level Gohan can ever achieve. Which makes him the most powerful (unfused) Z-fighter. It should have been Gohan that killed buu. It was so fitting too, because Gohan was at his peak and he was wearing Goku's uniform. But whatever....freaking Goku fanboys.

@nycballa417 gohan wasnt screwing around at cell. he was affraid to unleash his powers. then goku had to sacrifice himself. not because gohan was fooling around. plus if they were just like blast and boom buu is dead then dbz wouldnt be more than 20 episodes. and they would be 5 minutes long. i sometimes do want to scream at my screan OMFG YOU FUCKTARD WHYY??? but the result is better in the long run for the viewer IMO

@GamingForTehLulz That's not completely true. Once he went Super Saiyan 2, Goku and Piccolo wanted Gohan to finish Cell off but Gohan wanted to make Cell suffer. But I agree with the fights being a lot shorter if that was the case. I just miss the fights like Vegeta and Goku who were actually near the same power level and it was a close fight. Now it's like if you think about it, there is always a stupid twist. Like Goku risking billions of lives just to let the new generation be heroes.

@nycballa417 yeah sometimes the decissions are just stupid. like for instance im currently on my third run through the series and atm as we speak watching oozaru baby vs goky ssj4. kabitokai is getting the sacred water to clean baby from the other saiyens. i am flipping out again because why the fuck while baby is unconsious isnt he feeding the water to vegeta. it would be over in an instance. but noooo lets revive other saiyens who are nothing compared to baby's power

As far as I am concerned GT is not part of Dragon Ball. Because how could Gohan go from being this BAD ASS....to the idiot we see in DBGT? This fight with Buu and his fight with Cell is how I prefer to remember Gohan. They made a mistake taking the series further than Buu. GT was just a big mistake. This point in DBZ is anime at it's FINEST.

@Robdoggierob Are you stupid? Of course he was weaker in GT, when he was absorbed by Buu his potential was no longer unlocked and he could just turn SSJ and SSJ2. The reason he barely turned SSJ at all, though, was because he WAS stronger than he would have been if he was not mystic in just his normal form, and it takes up alot of energy to turn SSJ at that level.
