the way to go with lucario is to let them get some hits in first, then, when youve got about 50%, edgeguard like a maniac and do some good old mindfucking to piss your opponents off. I find dong what he did at 1:06 works a treat...

well depends. Any dsl/cable should be fine if u play within ur region, dial up is pretty crap unless u play near ur city and RL friends. A lot of people have to open their router ports 4 it to work well, like me. Oh and there is Ike who u might like instead of roy
Me Master with Roy, he may be slow but i make him balanced Marth relys on speed which i cant handle. However the good thing is no marth can pwn my Roy (this is why i wish he was in Brawl

I think if that lucario fights my diddy kong it would have some trouble. Diddy is made to fight every char in the brawl roster. Just have to know how to use him.
I say too slow for your style. He's not exactly slow. Although some attacks have slight lag or takes a bit of time to start (Usmash and Extremespeed for example), you can string out some weak attacks, send an opponent off an edge, and then start with the more powerful attacks.
He has High-risk/High-reward Fighter due to the fact that he causes more damage/knockback the more damage he has on him. Basicly, at 0% damage, he's relitivly weak with little knockback and moderate range attacks. At 189%, his max, he's extremely powerful, longer reach with attacks and has amazing knockback. If your skilled at SSB, yes, he is a very effective character.
The best people to use Lucario against are light-weight characters and balanced characters, like Meta-knight for the lights and Mario for the regulars. MK is amazing at wracking up damage but poor at finishing/killing moves thus making him a easy target for Lucario's moves.
King DeDeDe on the other hand is, in all sense of the word, a monster. Lucario's advantage can backfire when he faces people of Triple-D's standards, to which you'll mostly want to play keepaway and attack from a distance.
The character to watch out for in the Regular range is Luigi. He's one of the worst characters to fight against for this sole reason: He's very hard to read. Most character's will focus on either damaging you with many hits or killing you with one. Luigi has the ability to do both. Both his Up-B/Left-Right-B moves can be either trouble or a miricale due to the face he can end up killing himself if the attacks backfire. The Negative Zone, his Final-Smash with any character is ALWAYS a big danger.
His final smash basically sets you up for his "shin-shoryuken". But I definitely have to agree with you, Luigi has the damage/smash quotient on an even scale.
Personally, after I use the Negative Zone (I call it the 'Lu-Warudo'), I just charge the Right/Left-B Move to max, sit, wait for the damage to reach a respectable level and when the poor soul in the orb to try to escape, launch Luigi at said victem like a cruise missle, sending them off the stage.
I'm not a fan of the Up-B move. Sure it kills 50% of the time, but my luck is so abhorred, that If I used that attack ten times, I'd maybe get two hits. It's a gamble, while L/R-B gives me hits.
Quick question, maybe someone here can clear this up for me. What's up with tripping? My friend's theory is that if you dodge too much your character will eventually trip, but we can't seem to land on any sort of solid theory. Does anyone have any insight as to why characters trip, seemingly randomly?
from what I understand it occurs when you try to dash from standing still position in the opposite direction you are facing and only some of the time. I'm not really big into that sort of thing though, so I could be wrong..

thats lucario's counter move that u do by pressing b and down at the same time. If ur opponent attacks u while ur doing this move, lucario disapears, teleports behind the enemy and attacks automatically. In this case, lucario missed marth when he reappeared to attack,
Be warned, while the counter is an effective tool, certain attacks (usually the heavy-wieghts attacks) can and will void the counter, hitting you. Never do this with DeDeDe.
i enjoy ike because he has a good range with his sword and that all of his attacks do pretty solid damage, it would take someone very fast like meta knight or pit to really mess with ike
yeah or sonic, point is, Ike is not too fast, he's about mid speed, but he makes up for that by having an excellent range coupled with being a large percentage damage dealer
There have been a lot of weird things with youtube comments, but I've never seen 2 people, one above the other, say the exact same thing in 2 different ways and get such a ridiculous thumbs up/down difference. Just thought I'd share that because that's really odd. Btw I liked Mewtwo more as well, simply because I stopped playing Pokemon after Blue/Red and never really got into Lucario. However, Lucario still rocks /main.
I'm sore that they replaced Mewtwo while Jigglypuff is still here, the useless airbag. Mewtwo was my best character, I still fail to see why people said he was bad. He might have been slow, but he had a powerhouse behind him what with his standard B(Psi-Ball) move and Down-B (Disable).
I find it hilarious that people claim a character is op when the player using them almost never uses any tactics that may give them the upper-hand.
In other words: Why claim Lucario is superior to Marth when 90% of Koda's game is grabbing?

from what I understand it occurs when you try to dash from standing still position in the opposite direction you are facing and only some of the time. I'm not really big into that sort of thing though, so I could be wrong..

Hey its not actually a double team, but, its a counter triggered at the right moment by simply pressing down+B

thats lucario's counter move that u do by pressing b and down at the same time. If ur opponent attacks u while ur doing this move, lucario disapears, teleports behind the enemy and attacks automatically. In this case, lucario missed marth when he reappeared to attack,

Be warned, while the counter is an effective tool, certain attacks (usually the heavy-wieghts attacks) can and will void the counter, hitting you. Never do this with DeDeDe.

i enjoy ike because he has a good range with his sword and that all of his attacks do pretty solid damage, it would take someone very fast like meta knight or pit to really mess with ike

yeah or sonic, point is, Ike is not too fast, he's about mid speed, but he makes up for that by having an excellent range coupled with being a large percentage damage dealer

he also has a special ability called "aura ability" that'll raise his attack to proportionate to his damage. so higher damage = high attack

There have been a lot of weird things with youtube comments, but I've never seen 2 people, one above the other, say the exact same thing in 2 different ways and get such a ridiculous thumbs up/down difference. Just thought I'd share that because that's really odd. Btw I liked Mewtwo more as well, simply because I stopped playing Pokemon after Blue/Red and never really got into Lucario. However, Lucario still rocks /main.

I'm sore that they replaced Mewtwo while Jigglypuff is still here, the useless airbag. Mewtwo was my best character, I still fail to see why people said he was bad. He might have been slow, but he had a powerhouse behind him what with his standard B(Psi-Ball) move and Down-B (Disable).

Mewtwo's neutral B attack was shadow Ball, not PsyBall...
And in Melee he was only good in teleporting and jumping ^^
