Mike Snider is an awesome showman. Even though his show has a high emphasis on comedy, his music is very polished and sophisticated.

Not many people can do both of those things. I'm glad he is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

I've watched this more times then I can count and it gets better each time. I'm a banjo player but I love the difference in tone between the two fiddle players. What is it that creates such a different tone?

While Mike has this style down I still prefer that he play Scruggs style. He's too darn good to not use his talent. I had the priviledge of meeting him in Gleason back in the mid 80's and we went to his house and picked together. What an adventure. He is the most down to earth guy I have ever met and so is his wife Sweetie.

A lot of people don't know that Mike actually won the national championship playing bluegrass/three-finger style banjo at the annual competition in Winfield, Kansas.

Mike Snyder is the best Bluegrass/Irish Band period! Those twin fiddlers make it seem easy playing 3 part harmony in those intricate passages. After buying his CD in Cracker Barrel, I'm a real fan!
