  • Australia is brainwashing the people to the anti-whale fishing. Moreover, why does the minister have the person related to the terrorist?Use neither anti-whale fishing nor the racial discrimination for a domestic outlet of dissatisfaction.

  • Don't be fooled by this sorrowfull attempt of self protection by thjese Poachers!!!!Pigs and cows and sheep are animals that are bred and raised to be eaten. If I am to be as dramatic as you they are a product of food industry! Whales on the other hand are animals that breed in the nature and Japanese kill far more wales than than the amount than nature can reproduce. Japan kills 900 whales every year and maybe a 100 are born in the same year, that's 800 minus./ year.

  • @krejzliselecta That means that the balance is strictly negative and whjales will go extinct soon. Farm animals are bred in numbers so thjat te balance of animals that can be slaughjtered will always come positive!!!!!! In other words cow, sheep, pig will never go extinct beacuse they can reproduce much faster thjan the speed they are slaughtered!!!!!

Just look at the number of whales in the world in 1910 and in 2010, I think that pretty much answers the question.

  • @krejzliselecta If Japanese start breeding whales in large numbers and letting themfree in the seas I will be happy to support them in whaling, but since that is not and will never be the case I have to wishh to Japanese from all of my eart and soul that they die a painfull death betwen the flames of hell!!!!!!! Think people think don't let graphic footage and a few nice words with sad music fool you!!! Japanese are barbaric poaching motherfuckers!!!!!!!!!!!

  • But SSCS and PETA want us to become vegan and are showing their stuff through violence. In your logic, does that mean that hunting deer, bear, moose etc is immoral. The Japanese only take what they deem is sustainable and don't waste it the way we did in the past. Also you need to check your stats, Minke whale is very hardy. Don't mix morality with science.

  • @krejzliselecta

Go elementary school to learn Mathematics again.!

  • poor comment go to some civilized country (not Japan and learn to speak English before trying to tell off people ya know wha' i'm sayin bruv?

  • Now it's clear you are RASIST

  • ohhh what a sinner i am!!!! Fuck off bitch

  • oh and on that note sirukukuesuto... I trust that you have watched THE COVE?

I would be very interested to openly hear your opinions about this.

To anyone who has not yet watched it... I highly recommend you see THE COVE from 2009.

    Very powerful stuff.

    xo

  • and havinf said that, I also know that the vast majority of people who watch this video will draw a line in the sand when it is whales vs. cows/chickens/pigs etc... in just the same way, they do when comparing their dog or cat or pony to what they serve on the dinner table.

Bit too much to accept in one go... but good video for highlighting the hipocrisy sirukukuesuto ;)

  • Another layer of pain/suffering is added when the animal's aware of what's happening to them and what is about to their group/relatives.

The only point I would disagre with in your video is: "all human beings have to eat something that was once living". Just because we CAN, doesn't mean WE SHOULD.

I am not trying to start a worldwide revolution in respect to vegetarianism.. but every person who supports eating any other animal is directly responsible for any & all consequences from that action

  • As a 31yo vegetarian of 10 years, I completely agree with your main point i.e. all suffering and cruelty that humans give to animals in pursuit of food, is barbaric.

@chromal - I disagree that "equating a common rat or livestock with a rare, long-lived, social, intelligent(?) species like whale is absurd."

All living creatures feel pain, JUST-LIKE-WE-DO. The difference between us, dolphins and the rest, is our SELF-AWARENESS.

  • I welcome the commentary expressed here; though it is only one (apparently Japanese) voice, at least it attempts to begin a dialog, and that is something worthwhile in spirit.

Nobility of animals is not the point of opposing whaling. Equality of animals is questionable. Clearly, equating a common rat or livestock with a rare, long-lived, social, intelligent(?) species like whale is absurd. Many opposed to whaling refuse to eat all meat, but even if not, livestock is common, whales are not.
