RT does seem to be more independent than much of the mainstream media here in the U.S. Free Speech TV (FSTV), and World Link TV (LINKTV) are also good sources. However, even with the media and the truth being published by Wikileaks, it seems that we have a public that has been so brain dead when it comes to protesting the injustices taking place, that I doubt any of it will have any long lasting cumulative affect. WHAT WE NEED IS AN ANGRY PUBLIC, CAPABLE OF INSURRECTION AND BOYCOT!

After several years of serious research into what was happening in the world, I found that the news in the US is so filtered and watered down, that it appears to be controlled. It is surprising how much world news is not reported by our mainstream. I turned to RT and Fox News, and have had much broader and more informed news since.
I have seen at least two stories in the past month related to police violence against the Russian population, so they do report negative things that happen there.
They don't focus on the negative in the US any more than our news media here focuses on the negative elsewhere. Good news doesn't sell "papers". They do report on the bad things in the US that you do not here from our own media.
