This will also make the drums in your song very quiet, so this isn't the same as just taking out the lyrics, it just cancels out a layer of noise in your song, most of the time the lyrics will be in that layer, but so will a lot of the percussion, bass, and some other instruments/notes from an instrument. Just a beware.

The problem is with a ot of songs it also removes the drum tracks.  I wish there was a way to only remove vocals. Somone needs to come up with a software that does this or more bands/artists need to relase their instrumentals as well for DJ's/producers.

It does work to some degree. You are still left with whatever stereo effects were put on the vocal track in the original mix (reverb, chorus, etc...) and of course this leaves you with a mono track. If it's not working for you - you have either started with a track where the vocals are not panned exactly in the middle of the stereo file, or you're just doing it wrong.

How bout a true mp3 is a song for u dumb asses. Maybe all of ur problems on how it wasn't working was in the later half of the video how he explained the speakers could be equal on both left and right. I belive it is possible to go to garage band (for Mac) change the speakers to favor one side(left or right) then do audacity. If audacity is only fore pc then this info I just learned was shit. But I hope it works on macs.
