The slowly deteriorating content of both the History Channel and Animal Planet is maddening. They started with bringing decent documentaries to a large audience, which was an excellent goal. Unfortunately they changed their intentions from education to entertainment and ever more to distraction from real science. One would almost start thinking it's a conspiracy...
Probably it's just a money-thing, but it's a sad loss for the potential audience even so.

When I was younger I watched the History channel as a presumably honest and reliable channel of documentaries and when they started running these goofy shows about UFO's, mythical monsters and religious myths I thought, "well this stuff must be true if they're making documentaries about them!"
Then I grew up, learned how science works and began to laugh at what the "History" channel had become......the Any Crazy Idea Must Be True channel.

I also wanted to mention that I watched every episode of the AA series and while many of their theories were off the wall, none to my knowledge were presented as being confirmed facts. The book Chariots of the Gods which simply posed numerous questions was also accused to making claims verses asking questions in regards to the possibility of ancient aliens. Remember that being too closed minded is no better than being too gullible.

I may also point out that the AA show does, in fact, make statements of fact not in evidence numerous times. The intent is what matters and the intent is obvious.
Just to inject some relevant information here, there are about 200 sunken structures from the last ice age. These structures include step pyramids, temple complexes, etc. It's no mystery that we had an ice age that abruptly ended causing massive flooding as the sea levels rose. Many of these structures are ancient sea ports and a few share the symbology of later cultures that moved inland do to the rising sea levels. Apparently the person doing the video failed to do his research.
@fywacia Thanks for the correction. Research should always be examined for errors and corrected as needed. My research doesn't indicate over 200 sunken cities in that area. There have been several discovered, the latest of which is Herakleion that sank by earthquake about six miles off the Egyptian coast but I've not found any archeological records that confirms the (in my opinion) over-exaggerated claim made in this show. If you have some good sources please direct me to them.

Much like the differences between Hopi and Zuni: from the same general population, but with slightly different cultural and architectural traits. Just like religion, people tend to neglect the fact that it is all to do with certain drugs, hallucinogens to be specific. When the hallucinogenic experience is solidified in text, painting, sculpture or an oral story, the naive accept it as factual. I also wanted to mention that I watched every episode of the AA series and while many of their theories were off the wall, none to my knowledge were presented as being confirmed facts. The book Chariots of the Gods which simply posed numerous questions was also accused to making claims verses asking questions in regards to the possibility of ancient aliens. Remember that being too closed minded is no better than being too gullible.

Just to inject some relevant information here, there are about 200 sunken structures from the last ice age. These structures include step pyramids, temple complexes, etc. It's no mystery that we had an ice age that abruptly ended causing massive flooding as the sea levels rose. Many of these structures are ancient sea ports and a few share the symbology of later cultures that moved inland do to the rising sea levels. Apparently the person doing the video failed to do his research.

@fywacia Thanks for the correction. Research should always be examined for errors and corrected as needed. My research doesn't indicate over 200 sunken cities in that area. There have been several discovered, the latest of which is Herakleion that sank by earthquake about six miles off the Egyptian coast but I've not found any archeological records that confirms the (in my opinion) over-exaggerated claim made in this show. If you have some good sources please direct me to them.

@fywacia ; Greetings! The people to built the pueblos at Chaco Canyon are called "Chacoans," with enough of a difference from the Hopis to be considered a separate people. Much like the differences between Hopi and Zuni: from the same general population, but with slightly different cultural and architectural traits. Much like the difference between Tewa and Towa peoples. The Chacoans were pre-Hopi.

Just like religion, people tend to neglect the fact that it is all to do with certain drugs, hallucinogens to be specific. Is AA theory full of holes, theory and conjecture? Certainly. Is AA theory more full of these things than most 'mainstream' religions? No. Both rely on doubters having to prove a negative (good luck!) and both rely on magic, mysticism or technology (and I'm going to play my Clarke's third law card here). There is no definite account of history - everyone interprets it as best suits their needs at the time. AA theory, like religions, requires belief; if it requires belief then its not for me!

On almost every question, the answer is, yes it could be. But the big problem (as I see it) is that we don't know. Could aliens have visit the earth? Yes Could they still? Yes Can we prove it.
