If this had happened any where else the same thing would happen, it would be taken care of and life would go on.

I lived near DC, and it was filled with crime, and I lived in a small town outside of there, and it was wonderful, one murder in 5 years, but every place has their problems, especially poorer, urban cities, and New Orleans is an extremely poor city, just like most of the south, and that breeds crime.
I'm a dude, and life here isn't that bad. I've lived many other places and though it's not the best city in the world, it isn't that bad, even now. There are just certain areas where crime is rampant, and others that are fine, nice good areas with little crime at all.
