You Tube is one of the last Creative Community Channels around, However, if it fails Everyone will go somewhere else or Create a New Improved Resource. It's that simple. I support this. That settled, what is this WMV crap that pops up when I want to check out a song/video, and says it's been blocked. What,or who is WMV,and why do they do this?

@Flex52able WMG. Warner Music Group block videos, sometimes worldwide, sometimes certain countries, sometimes not at all. It all depends on the artist, the album, the song, and whether its a cover version or not. Same for most rights owners. For some artists, its just the US that blocks. For others, just Germany, or Canada. The owner thinks that each view infringes a right. that a sale is lost, or there is zero gain by making the vid seen.

Youtube monetizes 15% of video views,

@aTnavarrow Do you mean waiting until YT reads & agrees? The intent is to poll the amount of support for this type of petition. Google/YT wont agree to NOT having the new Homepage & Channel designs. (See desc link ) Our best alternative: allow us to use at least the "old ways" of channel design, and petition for modifications to the new Homepage design. To do that, we need an aligned collective. En force. Final designs will probably be in force by February 1. Not much time!
