Personally, I would do it. I'm into mostly hard rock. Some lighter stuff and some heavier stuff, but on average, I stick with music in the hard rock genre and am thrilled with the VM. I haven't even got it yet. I just go in and drool on it at the store.

i had a jcm 900 too and i just didnt cut it and i bought a vintage modern 2266. i love it

yeha dont do it. i play this kinda stuff to stuff like metallica and the JCM will be much better.. vintage modern is what i call "weak" in a kind of way. great amps and tone though.. but play the VM before you do!
