  • What a beautiful organ ! Amazing!

  • Cool, you can hear the Barker Lever action.

  • The French would call this organ, "Les Grandes Orgues", adding an -s-.to every word.

  • Wow!...From 6:15 on was awesome!

  • It was fun to hear what I assume are the Barker Levers behind the organist when you were taping in the loft.....

  • 4:45 is only Beautifull.....

I can't describe it with words...........

  • When you see how the congregation is dressed, you realize a couple of things: it can get REALLY chilly in Paris in April -- the song notwithstanding -- and these grand old European buildings aren't heated. Great stuff: thanks for sharing it.

  • The book is called Liber Usualis.

  • At the beginning the Master doesn't play an improvisation. He plays the first movement of Widor's "Simphonie Romane", beautifully composed on the gregorian theme "haec dies". Then he improvises on the same theme "haec dies".

  • @serassone Thanks for this info - I'm glad to know. Especially "cool" that he used the theme for his improv later. I'll look for a recording of the Widor by Mr. Roth.

  • Absolutely stunning - I had goosebumps around the five minute mark when he was playing on the Recit Voix Humaines... five stars.
