Stat wise. Shaq is only better by 2 points. Assist and rebounds are even. But everything else. Dream is better than Shaq.(Steals,Blocks,Foul shooting). Comes playoff time. Dream stats increases in all departments while Shaq only increase by 1 point and 1 rebound and all his other stats goes down.
Lets not forget, Dream never played with a prime superstar. Shaq did numerous times.
Shaq is a lousy help defender, cannot defend pick n`rolls, has trouble guarding big men outside of the paint. I wouldn`t say shooting is his only deficiency. Not a real go-to guy at the end of games either.

No....I never made the quote ``Hakeem didn`t play with anyone``, that is something you made up. I said in between Ralph and Clyde from 87-95 he was almost going it alone. If you feel Charles and Clyde were ``exceptional`` (only 1 real year together) in the time all 3 played together then I feel you are going by their stats. They were not the same as thier earlier years, they`d both lost thier explosiveness at that stage. He had a small window with Ralph, only 2 years.

Almost going it alone doesn`t mean you`re beating teams 1 on 5 by yourself, but it means you do not have a true second star go-to option to play with alongside yourself. Shaq had Kobe, MJ had Pip, Magic had Kareem, Bird had McHale.
In 93-94 playoffs Hakeem led the Rockets in all 5 major categories. Pts, rebs, blocks, steals and assists (a PG`s job). And he doubled his 2nd best scoring options ppg average. Nobody has ever done either of those before or since on a title team.

So Hakeem won a championship once as a lone star, playing against every other team with the same problem.
Wrong. The PHX Suns had 5 different players averaging at least 14ppg. 3 guys over 19ppg. The Rockets on the other hand didn`t have anyone else aside from Hakeem capable of scoring more than 14ppg. Chuck was a all-star PF, KJ was a 20ppg-10 asts PG. Marleje was much better than Vernon Maxwell. They had just made the NBA Finals the year before, losing to MJ who had a much superior team compared to what Hakeem had the year later and lost in almost the same amount of games as the Bulls.

The Rockets had technically five(Jent only played 3 games though) players average double figure scoring and Horry and Elie were both close with 9.9 points and 9.3 points respectfully. KJ was a perennial all-star, and had seasons compared to many HOF PG's, he just couldn't stay healthy. He killed HOU.

There are stats for total production for teams, total stats produced per game based on a % basis (to cover for OTs, faster pace, so on and so forth), and Hakeem contributed less overall on a game by game basis than Robinson did over the course of their careers.

Stat wise. Shaq is only better by 2 points. Assist and rebounds are even. But everything else. Dream is better than Shaq.(Steals,Blocks,Foul shooting). Comes playoff time. Dream stats increases in all departments while Shaq only increase by 1 point and 1 rebound and all his other stats goes down.
Lets not forget, Dream never played with a prime superstar. Shaq did numerous times.

Shaq also had to guard guys like David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Rik Smits, and many other good big men. Shaq played during the golden age of the center, and often leaving them for a weak side block wasn't an option. I'll give you the pick and roll thing though. However, during his prime late in the game, the ball was going in Shaq's hands.

You are merely looking at the names on the jerseys when you say they should or shouldn`t have won in 98-99 with Pippen and Barkley. A 36 year old Hakeem didn`t stand a chance vs. Shaq in his physical prime and a decade younger. No shame there.

No....I never made the quote ``Hakeem didn`t play with anyone``, that is something you made up. I said in between Ralph and Clyde from 87-95 he was almost going it alone. If you feel Charles and Clyde were ``exceptional`` (only 1 real year together) in the time all 3 played together then I feel you are going by their stats. They were not the same as thier earlier years, they`d both lost thier explosiveness at that stage. He had a small window with Ralph, only 2 years.

Almost going it alone doesn`t mean you`re beating teams 1 on 5 by yourself, but it means you do not have a true second star go-to option to play with alongside yourself. Shaq had Kobe, MJ had Pip, Magic had Kareem, Bird had McHale.
In 93-94 playoffs Hakeem led the Rockets in all 5 major categories. Pts, rebs, blocks, steals and assists (a PG`s job). And he doubled his 2nd best scoring options ppg average. Nobody has ever done either of those before or since on a title team.

He beat a Knicks team who's only star was Ewing.(Starks I'm afraid doesn't qualify as a star) And that series was a dog fight. Drexler(A hall of famer) came on board the next season. So Hakeem won a championship once as a lone star, playing against every other team with the same problem.

Wrong. The PHX Suns had 5 different players averaging at least 14ppg. 3 guys over 19ppg. The Rockets on the other hand didn`t have anyone else aside from Hakeem capable of scoring more than 14ppg. Chuck was a all-star PF, KJ was a 20ppg-10 asts PG. Marleje was much better than Vernon Maxwell. They had just made the NBA Finals the year before, losing to MJ who had a much superior team compared to what Hakeem had the year later and lost in almost the same amount of games as the Bulls.

The Rockets had technically five(Jent only played 3 games though) players average double figure scoring and Horry and Elie were both close with 9.9 points and 9.3 points respectfully. bdowden23 ....Majerle was better than MadMax. VM, never saw out of the 1st round, outside of playing with Hakeem. He was a malcontent and not a team player like Majerle. Horry was no star attraction, he fed off of whatever Hakeem created for him. They'd tried to trade him for underperforming in 93-94. Elie bounced around the NBA b4 he found a home in HOU with Hakeem. KJ was a perennial all-star, and had seasons compared to many HOF PG's, he just couldn't stay healthy. He killed HOU.

Did Robinson take ten shots in his career? No. He took over 14,000. To compare someone who played 14 years vs 18 is perfectly acceptable. Naturally the 18 year player will have "more stats", because he had 4 more years to compile them.

If he was "owned", then why did he get higher than his career average against Hakeem in every category in the series? Hakeem did nothing outstanding vs what Robinson did besides take an extra 6-8 shots per game, and make an extra 3-4. That's roughly the entire difference between the two in the series. I would not call that domination. Of course, your obvious fanboyism for Hakeem is apparent, so clearly logical arguments mean nothing when you're too blind to see beyond Hakeem's ballsack.

Statisically, yes he did contribute less. There are stats for total production for teams, total stats produced per game based on a % basis (to cover for OTs, faster pace, so on and so forth), and Hakeem contributed less overall on a game by game basis than Robinson did over the course of their careers.
Hakeem simply played more games than Robinson, and played on faster paced teams. matched up with Robinson (career head to head stats), he always posted less than DRob did.
