  • ooh V <:D

  • So you transformed from a black dude to a white guy?

Micheal Jackson must be saluting you in his grave, good sir!

  • @EnergizedTurkey his character is chinese actually

  • I've put off watching this Lp because i didn't think it'd be something that i enjoyed,

boy was i WRONG This is Awesome! Glad I started watching

  • "I want a rifle... NO! I don't want to be you, you SUCK"

  • catching up to the vids :D

  • They're not TIE fighters. They're Sith Fighters, JEEZ.

  • Comment removed

  • Those are Sith Fighters, not Tie Fighters. XD

Remember, this is 2000 years before the movies. =P

  • @RandomMagus 4000

  • Stealthy... XD

  • wow im so glad people still remember this game it has to be my favriote xbox game

  • Veriax, Would you ever consider dong a Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas Let's Play?

  • The point of a lightsaber is not to be a standard melee weapon, nor should it be held like one. A jedi needs a weapon light enough to be able to easily deflect blaster shots. Jedi fighting style obviously differs greatly from a standard melee style.

  • @GrandElemental Yes!

  • You're making some unpopular choices regarding your character and play strategy, such as focusing on ranged weapons and stealth. This is promising to be a very interesting LP,for Kotor vets at least :)

  • @Sebinicz Actually, playing a blaster character with sneak attack and focusing on stun and extra attacks + the multishot feats creates a character that can make mincemeat of pretty much anything in the game... The second game nerfed stun a bit, but in this one it's still possible to just multishot a horde of enemies into oblivion... =p

  • @Edgewalker001 Yeah... no. If anything, KOTOR 2 made playing a Jedi Gunman even MORE viable than KOTOR. I went light side and got the chick. Made both her and the Carth-wannabe into Jedi Gunpeople. With maxed out Stun (the multi-target Stun Power), they were regularly stunning whole rooms and picking them off. Now imagine if 'I' were the Jedi Gunman. Maxed Stun with Jedi Consular's Force Focus (I think it's called).

  • @ForeverDegenerate Yes, but what I mean is that they changed the force power effectiveness ratio by giving the bad guys better saves in the second game, so you basically HAVE to be a consular to even inflict stun most of the time, that's what I found when playing the last time anyhow.

But the precise shot feats they added blows that little disadvantage out the window anyhow, I normally use Mira and HK to take out any jedi we find =p

  • @Edgewalker001 Well yeah that's true. That's very true, actually. Though, I have to wonder if Ally Force Powers have a higher to-hit than yours because Mira and Carth-wannabe seemed to hit with Stuns on a pretty consistent basis and they're both Sentinels. I tried Sentinel the first time I played. Found I couldn't hit worth a damn with my Force Powers so I rerolled a Consular. :p

  • Quick tip. DO NOT LEVEL UP YET, finish the first planet before that!!!! You'll see the reason quite soon.

  • @Talakur Don't level up past 8 at the highest, you mean. Leveling up to that point is fine, especially on a first playthrough and with no intention of min-maxing.

  • There are swords in this game that are much better than lightsabers though.

  • @FullaQQ Not as cool though. :3

  • You do get you health back when you level. So sometimes it is a good idea to save a level up for a bug fight that way you can instantly heal up. =D

  • whats your computer ???? i cant play this game on modern pc (low fps)

    how u did u get it 2 work ?

  • Blind Let's Plays are always the best Let's Plays. Especially on these kind of games :3

  • eheheh I love your style. Who the hell laughs like "eheheh"?

  • What's the point of lightsabers?!?! They're GLOWEY, come in different COLORS, and are made out of frikkin' LASERS. There, three points for ya =P

  • @GameVoyeur Good points, all :)

  • @veriax After *SPOILER* you'll probably want to use lightsabers, at least SOME of the time.

  • @veriax Haha, those were good points. But I share your annoyance at the fact that all the melee weapons in the game conveniently are made of a material light sabers can't cut through. I would have given them extra kudos if they had it so that if you tried to fight a light saber with most melee weapons it would just chop your weapon in half, instead of taking the cheesy way out.

  • @MouseAndShiraz Totally Agreed... I Mean, these Swords, Were Kinda Forced Onto The Lore IMO, I Guess They Didn't Want To Have A Melee Figthing System For Only Light Sabers, As For Not Everyone Would Use Those In The SW Lore, And They Probabbly Didn't Want The Melee Weapons To Be Useless Against Light Sabers, Because That Would Pretty Much Get It Unbalanced, And You Would Be Able To WTFPWN Pretty Much Most Enemies With A Light Saber, Making Everything Else Pretty Useless.

  • Where, In This Game They Tried To Introduce Actual Choice And Unlinearity. I Guess They Wanted To Allow You To Play The Game With A Character Completely Of Your Own, Without Any Need To Stick To Previous Lore Archetypes, And Still Be Able To Advance Through The Game, In Different Manners And With Different Skills. In Any Way... Wouldn't Soldiers Use Blasters Aswell? I Mean, They Are In A Galaxy-Wide Organizated Government They Have Blasters, Granades. And Many Other Firework Devices...

  • Yet Some People Really Still Run To You With A Random Sword? Wouldn't That Be Useless Against A Basic Blaster Pistol? I Mean, Unless The Agressor Had A Special Armor or Was Really Close To His Victim; Doing Such, Would Be An Act Of Madness...

  • @Fawxl Actually, in the main cannon, Vibroblades and Vibroaxes are quite common. They're especially used by Gammoreans and Wookies, who are tough enough to withstand a few blaster shots. Once they get you up close, they are at an advantage. In fact, in one of the books, a Jedi (Can't remember his name) gets severly wounded by a Gammorean with a Vibroaxe, and only survives because someone sneaks up and kills the Gammorean from behind.

So, yeah. Melee other than L.S's is quite common.

  • @masterplusmargarita Well... It Seems like I Haven't Read That Book, I Probabbly Should Though, It Soulds Pretty interesting: Regardless I Pretty Much Was Deliberating (And pretty Much Ranting) About The Fact that Bioware Insisted In Giving Swords To... A LOT Of Characters, In Which... Regarding The Consequences... It Wouldn't Have Been A Very Good Choice To Do So. Cannon Haz It So These Lore Melee Weapons Are Used In Special Cases In Weither It Is Tradition, An Element Of The plot

  • @masterplusmargarita Or Convinient To The Character, Regarding The Situation..(Ganmorreans. Wookies... Anyone Who Would be Able To Ressist....Or Maybe Someone Who May Be Wanting To Stab You From The Shadows...Etcetera). In KotOR (And KotOR 2...) It Is Way To Much Common That It Would Have Been In A More Lore-Accuarate Enviroment (To My Opinion), Which Would Seem To Me Like This Was Caused By Bioware Partially Forcing These Features, For Gameplay Sake.

  • @masterplusmargarita So Yeah, Melee Other Than L.S's Is Not A Myth. It's Pretty Common. It Still Bugs Me A Bit that it Is So Widespread On KotOR. It's Like The Fact That You MUST Be A Jedi (Or Mod The Game) To Use A Lightsaber In The Already Mentioned Game. A Little Nuisance On The Immersion

  • @GameVoyeur Don't forget they go: GWSHZZZ CRACKLE POPKSHH! Four. Four points!

  • Comment removed

  • @GameVoyeur and they deflect blasters unlike swords and once again Veriax fails at Stealh good times :P

  • @GameVoyeur Actually they're made out of consentrated pure energy emitted from the coloured crystal in the hilt. Yes I'm a nerd.

  • I never even tried to do a scoundrel, looks quite shit when a warrior can youst rape through the entire game with the right build, but we'll see how it turns out.

  • Even though you are like 50 videos a head I feel compelled to say that when you choose a feat when you level up, you don't just have to upgrade the ones you have you can select more. I am sure you already know this but I just had to get it off my chest.

PS great work really enjoying this LP.

  • 1:04 That's what she said.

  • Exactly, lightsabers are worthless. Bioware, you are SO smart !

  • @karry299 They didn't invent the cortosis, that part of Star Wars lore, Shadowtrooper armor in "Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast" are made from a cortosis weave.

Actually it is even toned down, cause a cortosis weave blade actually should short circuit a light saber for a very short amount of time when the two touch. Basically mean each time you cross blade, the light saber got to be turn back on.

Also pure cortosis emit enough energy to kill most race on touch.

  • @iniudan

I know all that. However, in the game lightsabers actually ARE worthless. Isnt it a great coincidence that everything in the game is made from cortosis ? And that still doesnt explain lightsabers being blocked by STICKS.

At least Obsidian made lightsabers a bit more useful, with the additional crystals and such, even though still being blocked by everything under the sun.
