After watching ur gameplay..Operation Flashpoint Dragon rising..
It Feels like....Boring to me..
Feels like,..not much war going on in thr..not like Operation Flashpoint Cold war crisis. Even though the graphics is worse...but the campaign really is Much more heart pumping adrenaline than dragon rising. And Red River. Jus knew about..im gonna check it out ltr.
I flank that radar on the enemies right.Get in the treeline in the enemies front right and rain the arty,mostly for a distraction and move in fast while they're getting hit.Combat spread,line, hold fire til you crest the hill, then let 'em have it.If the arty takes out the radar I move to extract, if not you can usually cut them down fast from their right flank dealing with only a fraction of the resistance.The goal being to complete the objectives, not kill everything in sight.Good video.

There's nothing difficult about flanking and spreads.It's a common military tactic that exists because it makes things easier and the objective of the game is to get in,get it done and get out with the least amount of fuss.In reality,flanking and creating a diversion is improvising.Move and shoot is a CoD style tactic that this game is a welcome relief from.My tactic requires less than 2 clips to blow the radar and is certainly more sound but it is just a game.
@Brokkolesz I see what you're saying and sometimes it's just plain fun to attack the front in a big shooting match.If ever my machinegunner gets killed I'm always sure to grab his LMG because that thing just sounds badass.Almost as badass as 100 enemy soldiers having a collective pants-pissing.It doesn't take an hour though.After blowing the sunburn the whole thing can be wrapped up in maybe 5 minutes.As long as that damned enemy chopper stays quiet,which it usually does.
@Brokkolesz I've never bothered with multiplayer games since my PS2 croaked a couple years ago and I got the 360.If ever I was going to get back into multiplayer it'd definitely be for this game in co-op mode.As it is now,I just can't justify the expense of a Gold acct nor do I have the time for it anymore.Plus I've moved on to mostly PC games now.I've got about a $500/day STALKER addiction that needs to be fed.
@Brokkolesz I have it for the 360 so I've never played the multiplayer version of this game at all...sadly.I thought about getting it for the PC too but I really do not like keyboard and mouse controls for shooters.I use them when I have to and it's usually more accurate than a stick controller but pretty hard to just kick back on the couch with.Sort of a trade off-intimacy and comfort of a stick controller or accuracy and hotkeys of the keyboard.
@Brokkolesz I prefer the PC too,just not the controller that goes with it.MP is good but i do like a solid SP.IMO,too much emphasis on MP gives dev's an excuse to spend less money on development but charge the same $60 for a game that otherwise would've had solid SP.I also like to see good AI and have the ability to turn the game on/off when I want or need to,not just when it suits everyone else involved.The older you get,the more important this aspect becomes.
This is an awesome game for what it is.The best console shooter available, certainly better than that kindergarten CoD and Battlefield garbage.This game is a challenge and it tests your tactical abilities,not how many rounds you can squeeze off before you run and hide until you're all better again.The vehicles suck and I'm pretty sure I could reload and toss a grenade about 3 times faster than it happens in this game but at least it's not some generic run&gun like my little sister plays.

@198cvx I've actually never played arma.I based my comment on several videos I've seen of players standing in the open and shooting while the enemies either just stood there or were never able to hit the player.Try this in OF and you'd be dropped in a few seconds.Eventually I will but I think a keyboard is a miserable way to handle a shooter.I usually use the PC only for RTS... oh, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.I have a real love/hate relationship with that one.And SWAT4 is badass but a bit dated.
.....now im playing OFDR on hardcore and on some mission i have feeling that im dealing with fucking ninjas it reminds me of delta force 1-2 back then-same challenge.dont know why they fail so badly with red river...
@knsvmv I can't bring myself to buy RR and have never tried it, maybe when it hits the $15 mark on the used rack.Companies seem to be gearing more and more to consoles,something we might as well get used to,and in doing so they have to dummy it up to broaden their fan base.In the case of OF they could've just fixed the problems from DR like vehicle controls, weapon swap and reload times, given us a camapigns worth of new maps and enemies and I think we'd have all been satisfied.

this game looks cool and all. i can respect the simulation style over action movie style of FPS games nowadays. but still, the voice acting in here REALLY BLOWS. it doesnt feel real when the dude talking sounds like a freakin GPS machine. voice confirming battlefield details just sounds so "robotic" and scripted. that really kills the mood. anyone else agree?

First flashpoint was a true PC game for hardcore players, and it was for it's time an amazing multiplayer game. It was not for fans of unreal tournament or duke nukem 3D though. It was a thinking man's shooter.
i got a question my pc matches has higher specs than the ones required on the game besides CPU it asks for 2.4 Ghz and i got 2.0 would i have a big prob playing this?

Not trying to "noob" it up here, but how would this game be for a frequent battlefield series player? I loved the bad company games, and played BF2 a ton. How would this compare?
@Khips Well this is much more realistic and slower pace. So im sure you could get used to it. But its way way way more tactical. Like, as soon as you hear a gunshot just lie down. You gotta try and be stealthy and make sure you kill everyone in a gunfight as quick as possible because if you lose sight of them they will usually regroup and ambush and you get raped. But im pretty sure if you play battlefield a lot you will be able to get into this game.
At least here it's realistic... not as realistic as last OPF, but still that's how it should look... 1 or 2 shots and youre dead... while when I see dumb shooters for console retards where you run around and get shot like bazylion times! and yet it's fine, you just need to sit behind a wall to heal all two hundreds of bullet holes in your boddy :P HEAR that Doctor House?! You suck! all your patients need is to take cover! XD
runs maxed out on my HD 5750 with ~65-70fps. I didnt expect that :P (ArmA II totally fucked my PC up.....10fps o.O with max settings, 25-30fps with high settings...and the game sucks :D) Dragon Rising is a pretty nice game, for 10€ I'd buy it!

Sure, I'd like to point out that G.R.A.W, while a tactical game like this one, was more of a straight up shooter. That game had explosion after explosion, Op Flashpoint doesn't. Nothing wrong with liking games like Call of duty, but there are plenty of those games....there aren't enough of these.
After testing the demo and watching in-game videos of OFP:DR, I still DISLIKE it. The MAIN voice-actor does a BAD job! And I don't like to hear him say: "Move to grid Echo-3-One, etc" all the time, even when you order you troops a few feet away! Why not simply say, with ARM GESTURES:"Get over there!"? And both the friendly and hostile AI don't know how to take cover. I like the sprint-animation of your character.The "jog"-animation looks weird → 4:50 Gravity has an effect on your aim! Nice.
anyone that says the graphics are good btw obviously doesnt have a good gpu and specs, and is used to BF2 type graphics... bc i can play crysis with the specs maxxed, but then again with a 2 gig N285GTX so of course it can... And the comment about how the menue controls are not too bad. did you not see in the vid you have to go through 3-4 sub menues to get to what you want and you cant do anything else while you are looking, meanwhile you are gettting shot at and you teammates are dying

Not trying to "noob" it up here, but how would this game be for a frequent battlefield series player? I loved the bad company games, and played BF2 a ton. How would this compare?

@Khips Well this is much more realistic and slower pace. So im sure you could get used to it. But its way way way more tactical. Like, as soon as you hear a gunshot just lie down. You gotta try and be stealthy and make sure you kill everyone in a gunfight as quick as possible because if you lose sight of them they will usually regroup and ambush and you get raped. But im pretty sure if you play battlefield a lot you will be able to get into this game.

At least here it's realistic... not as realistic as last OPF, but still that's how it should look... 1 or 2 shots and youre dead... while when I see dumb shooters for console retards where you run around and get shot like bazylion times! and yet it's fine, you just need to sit behind a wall to heal all two hundreds of bullet holes in your boddy :P HEAR that Doctor House?! You suck! all your patients need is to take cover! XD

runs maxed out on my HD 5750 with ~65-70fps. I didnt expect that :P (ArmA II totally fucked my PC up.....10fps o.O with max settings, 25-30fps with high settings...and the game sucks :D) Dragon Rising is a pretty nice game, for 10€ I'd buy it!

Sure, I'd like to point out that G.R.A.W, while a tactical game like this one, was more of a straight up shooter. That game had explosion after explosion, Op Flashpoint doesn't. Nothing wrong with liking games like Call of duty, but there are plenty of those games....there aren't enough of these.

After testing the demo and watching in-game videos of OFP:DR, I still DISLIKE it. The MAIN voice-actor does a BAD job! And I don't like to hear him say: "Move to grid Echo-3-One, etc" all the time, even when you order you troops a few feet away! Why not simply say, with ARM GESTURES:"Get over there!"? And both the friendly and hostile AI don't know how to take cover. I like the sprint-animation of your character.The "jog"-animation looks weird → 4:50 Gravity has an effect on your aim! Nice.

it doesnt seem like the snipers are the usual mass usage 1s
like variations of the M24 M95 or SVD
and the shot sound like u were out of bullets all along..the sniper silencer makes a poof when u have one..but yeah im not 100% sure of mah statements

anyone that says the graphics are good btw obviously doesnt have a good gpu and specs, and is used to BF2 type graphics... bc i can play crysis with the specs maxxed, but then again with a 2 gig N285GTX so of course it can... And the comment about how the menue controls are not too bad. did you not see in the vid you have to go through 3-4 sub menues to get to what you want and you cant do anything else while you are looking, meanwhile you are gettting shot at and you teammates are dying
