  • It was hard for me to find this because I thought it was Computer World like they sing in the video. Yes, they're from Quebec. They're biggest hit was Living on Video, which is partially sung in french. It sends me in orbit and I'm perfectly straight. I'm amazed at the speed of the computer tonight, thank you!

  • Wonderful synthesizer sound from the 80`s. I loved this song more than the a-side "Living on video". It sounds like jean-michel jarre who appears also on polydor. thanks for posting.

  • Love the sounds! Exactly the kind of thing I'd have knocked up in my bedroom studio in the mid 80s had I the equipment - sad smile. Anyway, cheers. The 80s were the finest pop decade by a country mile, but then I'm 42 y/o so am of course biased.

  • I have some VERY happy memories of listening to this after dropping out of teacher training college in 1985. It completely did my head in, played it to death. I still have the 12" somewhere, but don't listen to vinyl anymore...

  • awesome Canadian SPACE DISCO

  • There must have been an incredible music scene in Quebec during the 80´s.

  • Nice one Pascal Languirand! I had a 12" remix of Living on Video and this was on that too! My parents quietly got rid of it and a load of my other vinyl when they were preparing to move house about 10 years ago ("Why do you still want any of that old rubbish?"). I was so annoyed when I found out!

  • Trans X were hot, they should have had far more success than they got.

  • fantastic!

  • Along with the Koto's instrumentals this was and still is my favourite from the 80's.

Nice idea for video with that turntable and the single itself :)

    80'S FOREVER!

  • Defnetly from Qébec. Go hear the original version of that old classic first issued in french with the song « Vivre sur video »

Actually the main guy was the son of Jacques Languirand, a well known writer and animateur in Montréal.

  • the one featured is the B-Side - when the video starts you can clearly see the #2 on the plastic centre label.

this track is the b-side of Living On Video - probably a British issued single, as Polydor used pressing plants in Germany, France and the USA, as well as UK ones.

The hit version is on "Boiling Point/Polydor POSP 650" - i.e. the 1985 hit version, but there were definitely earlier releases in the UK with different cat. numbers, the one in this video is probably a 1984 issue

  • Beautifull!!!!!!

  • I have this on my IPod and love it. Wicked synths! I never knew they were from Quebec though, I thought they were from Germany!

  • @riverwey They were definitely from Quebec. Still can't figure out why this song was never widely distributed :( One of my Trans-X faves :)

  • @riverwey i thought they were from canada?

  • I've looked for this track for years. Thanks for posting a blast from my past!!!!! Great memories cruising in my 1966 Ford downtown with the guys......

  • @edmonton67 You're very welcome! Glad I could be of service :)

  • Yeah!

  • A rare jewel. Thanks for the memories.

  • This was a B-side also. I taped it of a friends record. Excellent.

  • I was actually asking a favor of PCino45s2.

  • my bad then.

  • Listen to Roxette's "Almost Unreal" and tell me if you like it. It's one of my only (and favorite) imported 45s. Yes, they did issue a 45 of it--on the EMI U.K. label. It's pretty hard to find (a search on fleaBay brought up only CDs of the song).

Love this tune! Playing it in a Fiero? Even better! B)
