Sibling rivalry, Imagine a classic mini (barking like a small dog) backing a few 4 door BMW's into a corner, camera pans to find behind the classic mini are a few new mini's as friends. Sibling rivalry, A couple of 7 series BMW's at a wine and cheese event and a lowly new mini shows up to be giggled at. Leave the other auto manufactures alone, they're not in the same class. btw I heard complaints about mini's being unreliable, I've had mine for 4 years with no trouble at all. I even crashed mine and needed major body work redone, but it runs fine. I've drive mine from Tahoe to Irvine 2-3 times a year too(about 1200 miles round trip!).

Hey MiniUSA, if you want to race i think WTCC has spots available. Or F1? GT/GT3? How about LeMans? Come on, no one cares about this. Start a REAL racing team and then start these call outs. This stuff reminds me of the whole Nissan 370z vs. M3 and Porsche Cayman. Nissan calling out the M3 and Cayman-S was big for about a week then everyone quickly stopped caring. You can only play the 'it lost but its a value' card for so long. Though the 370 is barely on par on with both if i recall.

This is absurd to think a mini will be able to beat a 911. This will probably be one of those things that ends up becoming forgotten about in the vastness of the internet. mostly because the race will never happen, and if it does, mini will be beaten. You guys are on fking cr*ck! There is nothing Mini has that can even remotely compare to a GT3 or a GT3 RS 997.2. They are both two of the fastest cars around Nurburgring today with laptimes of 7:30 and 7:35.

What the hell does Mini have?? The Cooper S?? What is the fastest lap time Cooper S have?? Oh wait, it is an eternity slower and underpowered at 8:30. That is like a bazillion car lengths to the finish line.

I own a BMW aka owner of Mini ;) and I just want to say good luck trying to get Porsche to come out and play. They don't have a car in Minis league. I say if you can't get Porsche then go for Audi next. (I hate their smugness with their stupid "2nd place" commercials) Challenge the R8, if Porsche wants to get hung up on stupid details then let them go and move on to a better target :) GO MINI!!

Even if I didn't own a suped up Mini, I'd support this. But since I know I can challenge them on a course (though admittedly not a straight away) having done it, I'd like to see them prove this stance of theirs is not simply cowardice.
