i remember i felt like loch modan was my in-game home. i loved the place so much i didn't change my heartstone designation even on lvl 60. it was silly and unpractical - a complete waste of time. but it was home. anyhow, all good things must come to and end, and im glad i quit after wotlk came out. it was a good time to do so
I just can not beleive time has gone so fast. clearly remember starting my first account with a night elf druid back in 2005,, instantly i felt that blizzard has acheived something totally revolutionary in mmo. I think everyone knows what iam talking about, that special epic feeling this game gave us, so much memories and joy.Sadly i havent played this game for 3 years now. It feels its prime has been long gone now sadly. Its time first the next generation mmo to blow our minds. Thanks blizz!
The top comment escapes me. "Less and less people..." So if numbers increase dramatically it means less? And don't bring up the little minority of 1 million loss recently. I'm pretty sure the remaining 11 million will keep the game going.
Other than that. Yes Classic WoW was a great time. SOCIALLY. When it came to actual game mechanics and stuff like that. It was not. Nowadays its kinda backwards. Classic WoW was the worse when it came to grinding and leveling.... the fucking grinding...
Oh my GOD. I always wished for such a video but yours SUCKS! Here is why: 90% of the places you show are places that havent changed at all in cata. But all those places that HAVE changed and we will never see again, you leave out. Stormwind for example, you show only stormwind places that look the same as they do now. How about trade district?
i'll always have some of the best memories from old azeroth, hell from just vanilla wow... I remember so much about it, this game was the first of its type. This game came out with the first ideas of dungeons or raids, and they were incredibly epic... i'll never forget going to my first raid with so many other people trying to just kill a boss.
@Chronic4460 it's cool and all that you feel that this game is special and i respect that. but it is nowhere near the first of the mmo's to incorporate any of your aforementioned "idea's." 2 games i watched cousins play back in the 90's were ultima online and everquest. and in the beginning of '03 i played star wars galaxies, which came well before vanilla wow. i didn't play wow because i dedicated time and effort into swg that i thought wow was a rip off because it felt the same.
@Chronic4460 and lastly, swg did incorporate things before wow did. i just now started playing wow because i need something to hold me till swtor...the most recent thing is the ability to equip items, but have the cosmetic look of another. beast mastery, mounts, and raids/dungeons/instances/flashpoints were invented before the thought process and development of wow ever came to being.
@GDF333 very true - however WoW incorporated them in a way that no other game of our time has been able to. No other game has had the remote feel that WoW had back in it's 2004 years. it is something i will truly always remember.
STeve Jablonsky was a great choice...I luv that song and i heard it in one of my fave movie trailers.....I play W.O.W because it reminds me of when I was little I had my own world and it reminded me a lot about my child hood and how innocent and how big of an imagination i had
Amazing effects, music matched perfectly, all the best zones, all the best features of the zone, Amazing all together! GOOD JOB! I wish Alexstrasza had slipped a few more roofies in Deathwings drink so we could have Azeroth back for just a little while longer!
It`s a shame that there is less and less people who play world of warcraft because of the Love of the game, the play for better gear and "cooler" cataclysm gear. So they can show everyone how pro they are. They do not realize that some of us play world of warcraft because we love the game, we love those who put there soul into it, some of us actually raid because not of the gear, but for the epic feeling when 25 man are trying to kill The Lich king and are working hard to achieve it.
@lofotkillern I'm one of those fools who stills wanders through the lands, exploring the world, honoring places. Killing enemies with respect, not ganking ppl, even helping some of the other faction if they're in need of help.
But yeah, insulting ppl in game is way more fun than exploring a game that has no limits...
its not just a video about the world of warcraft memories for me ;( i cried... so many things that make me upset were comming up to me when i heard this songs.. it makes me think about why im addicted to play video games and why im not good at school.. because of gaming ;(
thank you for this video!
it felt good to think about bad things and good things..
quel est le titre de la 1ere musique ecouté sur cette video SVP , je l'adore et elle va magnifiquement avec la video mais je n'arrive pas a savoir d'ou elle vient ^^

RIP real wow 2004-2008, Wrath just killed it, and now cataclysm... it isn't even WoW anymore. I'm so glad i quit not even half way through Wrath.
