@gilgsn Tanks and sorry took so long to reply. We went with the 503 as we were going to be more than 254lbs. We finished up at 350lbs empty weight. If we were doing it again I would go for the 582 engine. Not much heavier and can use the extra power.
Have been away from the US so no chance to fly. Hopefully back soon.
I am a member of GDT i have been following you guy for a while now and I'm very proud of you guy cheers and i hope to have mine done soon. please message me back.
@soundofsoul1 As before sorry took so long to reply to all you kind posters. Wish you all the best with your build, we are delighted with ours. Look forward to seeing you on vid soon.
@TheyCallMeFestus I think we stopped counting at around $12,000.00 but not a great deal more and that was including tools and everything. Pretty good for one's own personal flying machine. Yes we have had a great time and I am very proud of what my son has built and what we accomplished together. Thank you.

How must did it cost you to build this Hornet not including the tools you purchased for the job, just the parts?
And seeing your gyro in this footage is great. I'm sure your proud of what you've accomplished. I sure would be. Thanks and have fun!
