  • clearly a fake vid here...just saying!

  • Damn... did the helicopter hit a support wire?! Wow!

  • It's minor..Get the duct tape and super glue!

  • wtf

  • gta style !

  • Comment removed

  • does anyone know what caused this helicopter to break in half mid air???

  • @TubeThisTubeThatUChs the rotor blades touched something, got imbalanced and due to that resonances came up and tore the fuselage apart

  • Stupid guy in background pulled a wire and made it hit the blades.

  • God is father...

  • dude in yellow vest pushes the other dude in orange vest as he rans, what a coward

  • @tgshark1 runs

  • So wrong on sooooooo many levels. Made me weep it did.

  • That's a pretty dangerous spot. I counted four crashes.

  • I am a muslim helicopter and I am offended.

  • Co za acy !!!

  • uoa, what a close call!

  • Is the guy that gets up at 0:25 the same guy that fell out the right side at 0:09

  • @TH7596 No, the Pilot was still inside. Look up the oriuginal poster Murryjob

  • you NEVER EVER Reach and grab a cable of any kind under a hovering helicopter with the cable attached! When the DUMBASS on the ground grabbed the cable he shortened the length of the cable causing it to hit the blades. The pilot had just enough slack in the cable to be able to land with it attached but not after Mr Wizard grabbed it!.

  • Im not a pilot but it seems like that was a very unsafe place to attempt

  • Comment removed

  • what was that loud noise at 0:13

  • @v8luver64 that is mostly the turbine engine fan blades rubbing the walls of the compressor.

  • Is it just me or does the guy grabbing the wire at the bottom cause it to hit the rotor?

  • @SonsofThrall Yeah, he pulled it down for some reason, this caused the cable to tighten up and go closer to the rotors. Too close...

  • did I see the pilot fall out of the door?

  • @Sykesee He almost did, he was definitely hanging out there for a few seconds!

  • Allaha save the pilot.wounderful

  • the cameraman running knew what was about to happen

  • u have to remember the 10 foot spinning roter that always hits the pole when u forget about it and u hurt its feelings all four of them are very sensitive

  • its fake bro nice try!

  • @reynaldzuniga6 ahh no its ot it was on the news here in australia

  • to all who think it is a fake video you are such idiots. this did happen and the accident report is on the Civil Aviation website

  • That's why there are codes against operating machinery in construction zone.s

  • That noise as the rota blades hit the wires,it was quite scary!!

  • An inexperienced pilot, an experienced pilot would have know how close his rotor blades were to all objects around him. Thank God he was as close to the ground as he was, it certainly would have been death if not.

  • @donsgotmoney The pilot knew exactly where he was, if you look closely you can see the groundsman flicking the cable that goes from the top of the tower to the load ring. He flicked the load cable into the rotor blades. Not much the pilot can do about a meathead on the ground.

  • @JimsEquipmentShed After watching the video again, I relized that my comment was over sated in incorrect. I withdraw that comment.

  • well watch those wires!

  • FUkin ah that looked like a movie!!!

  • after effects cs5

  • I've had the luxury of working with idiot ground crews like this but this guys actions were beyond reprehensible. You DO NOT yank on the line like this clown did! I will definitely show this video in my next ground briefing.

  • Who were these workers?

Don't jump up and yank down aggressively on a line attached to a helicopter and tower. Wonder if the guy who pulled on the line lost any fingers? The heli could have easily fallen on him.

A line attached to a heli and tower is risky to begin with.

  • Keep your distance when those machines are landing or taking off !!

  • dammmmn!!

  • fake..!

  • @joserumba Nope!

  • @joserumba Lol, srsly? Try telling that to the pilot.

  • lol

  • Its like it sneezed then crashed

  • the slowmo sunded like wwii planes

  • Lucky I think that the main rotor assembly came off, less bits flying around!!

Good to know everyone got out ok!!!!!

  • its terrible of me to say this but absolutely awesome footage of what can happen to these vehicles. when you see pictures sometimes you wonder just how the hell did that happen and heres a video.

  • scary movies are so damn right. People tend to fall when something terrible is chasing them

  • hey i saw some different footage of this i think

  • 0:47 that camera man missed the shot of his life.

stupid comment i know but stil.

  • @7249xxl so what but his friend catch it on his camera

  • @greathistorian2 so his friend gets promotion he doesnt.

  • @7249xxl

He still got it ;) I watched the video that he posted, it still turned out alright :D

  • @7249xxl You fucking kidding me... watch?v=v5aMT9MBfZI is the original video. Read the description.

  • @7249xxl Same Cameraman. Look up his original page.

  • @7249xxl its a good comment mate, he is running from it lol

  • @7249xxl how about the guy who got it , he did'nt drop shot once, great nerves.

  • @7249xxl

Well you know what they say about Morphy's Law......

  • gotta watch out for those pesky guy wires! they will wreck your shit every time.

  • wtf

  • Thank God all made it home at the end of the day. Thank God!

  • @Hawaiian80882 why? didnt god make it crash in the first place?

  • @Hawaiian80882 Who?

  • cripes, there goes ten grand.

  • If you find an A-Star for 10 grand, buy it and i will give you 15 grand for it!!! lol bud

  • @param3dic85 I was being sarcastic.

  • @bogey19018 oh i know!! haha! ps like your other vids

  • jopig you twit. torque busted the tail, downdraft not so obvious in that context, multiple cameras from 2 different tv stations (both recording the raising of the frame for xmas decorations), pilot wasn't landing (was lifting framework in to place). What ever happened to the rigger who caused the crash btw? Anybody?

  • Close Up: Lucky Escape see it for you self

  • the man in the right @ 0:26 caused the crash he pulled the rope near to the rotor blade slicing off one of the blades but the pilot lucky for him!

  • Made in china

  • fake: 1) the tail fell off for no reason 2) not enough wind blown onto the bystanders by the propellers 3) multiple, professional cameramen are recording 4) pilot has to be a real dumbass to try to land there

  • @joepigslop Tail didn't fall of with no reason. If the main rotor gets damaged, the tail rotor shaft breaks due to the sudden deceleration, disintegrating the tail casing.

If this is fake, it's a very good fake deserving a like.

  • @joepigslop Good name for you, since you obviously don't know jack about helicopters.

  • look like a fake movie stunt... People would act more.. FAKE.

  • @MrZillaman1 that is not a fake i saw that at TVNZ new how about that! :P

  • @MrZillaman1 no. Welcome to the real world where all the people want is to avoid getting hit by a helicopter.

  • 0:08. shaken not stirred

  • never seen a fat guy run so fast lol

  • The wire is attached to the tail section. You can see some idiot jumping and pulling the wire causing it to hit the rotors & ripping the tail off.

  • i believe sombody died of a hart attack instead of injuries.

  • I fly helicopers for the Army chopper tails just dont fall apart like this.

  • @douwethaman Yes retard it is more fake then your pathetic life.

  • !!!

    helicopters are hell's machines :-/

  • this is not a fake - was in tv as well

  • i dont know if this is faked, but if it is, this is the bast faked crash ive ever seen...

  • @HKfilms1 why do people think its fake? its fucking real... god people are stupid

  • @douwethaman you know. being upset dosent really solve anything...at all.

  • lol the tail just fall off lol...

  • Comment removed

  • Black guy in yellow fast reflexes.

  • Looks kinda faked

  • @usarmymilitary retard, it is not fake.

  • @usarmymilitary if its fake then how did it get into the caa accident reporting and investigation process

  • what happened?

  • @Ejmii1 i think he hit a cable. or some shit like that

  • I bet Plenty of washing power was used trying to remove stains later that night

  • coolest cameraman ever.

  • How many obstacles? Morons

  • @Ovvw and who gives a shit about the helicopter.....

  • الحين الطيارة صقعت بأأيش ؟

  • احسن

  • اوووووه 

  • As someone who has lost friends in helicopter crashes, this is amazing! It is also a miracle that people on the ground were not killed, also.

God was kind to all people there that day!

  • Hmmm, shit.

  • Well that chopper broke down faster than Chris Crocker having a bad day.

  • that guy below the chopper is luckiest man on earth

  • woah sugar that's tragic!

  • @XSuperSaudiX Cunt

  • just watch the tail

  • Haha at the camera man at 0:46! He turns around like "Fuck I missed it!"

  • @XSuperSaudiX Seriously? Your racism isn't even insulting. I just feel bad for you. You should go back to your mud house and improve your racism. I mean seriously, you Saudis have nothing that NZ should be jealous of.. You cunts don't have grass first off... Your country has an abundance of perverts who pray on children under the age of 10... You're just all around fucked up. So yea anyway, stop sniffing your relatives bike seats and work on your racism.

  • Stupid fatass in yellow who tripped lmao.

  • This was not the pilots fault. Watch it again. the dude flicks the wire up so talk shit about him

  • @twitteroverlord shut tha fk up dork! i hv my rights and my freedom to say watever i wud say! get fked motherfucker! fken farmers

  • @XSuperSaudiX u sound like an ignorant fuckwit

  • @XSuperSaudiX Funny thing is, without new zealand mosts of the world would struggle with Dairy Products and meats, we supply over 50% of Farming products, so stfu kid?

  • @hack3rpk3r even tho u still a poor fuken country lol btw the land belongs to the Maori not for the pakeha "or watever thy call u " assholes

  • @XSuperSaudiX ROFL!? If you wanna start that Bs then okay?

    Australia is the Abo's

    Britain is Africans

    African is for Africans

New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa etc are for Islanders

America is for the Native Indians etc

oh and btw for a small country we arnt poor, because we dont need like fucking War planes etc cause we dont go to war

  • @XSuperSaudiX lol this retard <<<

  • @XSuperSaudiX

I understand your pain and your pure hatred for aircraft.

In WWI when your poor people had gotten no closer to flight than dreaming about magic carpets, the Turks flew their biplanes over your soldiers and bombed and machined-gunned them. Your horses and swords were no match for the new modern terror in the skies.

Now be a good chap and go and phone the Good Samaritans and learn how to behave properly. Even if it hurts.

  • Love the sound of the turbine suddenly not having a rotor or gearbox to slow it down...

  • Comment removed

  • Praise be to God for safety of pilot

  • Greg Gibble only escaped unhurt because he's related to Chuck Norris

  • its funny how long it took for TVNZ to catch on this view of the crash.

tv3 basically has completed the investigation.

  • @Drsmithnz TV3 don't even do the investigations. (Neither does TVNZ for that matter).

  • @Drsmithnz At least TVNZ got the best footage out first

  • The guy in the yellow does a commando roll....he really wanted to live....even pushes off his mate to escape! LOL!

  • Why is the main focus on the pilot's 'miracle' escape? He was wearing a safety belt and was always going to remain within the helicopter. The 'miracle' is that none of the men on the ground were seriously injured or killed.

  • @chtwrone1 Or that the tree pillar thing didn't fall over and land on lots of people. I totally thought it would.

  • Comment removed

  • Dramatic jump at 00:23

  • Eeeerrllliike a glove!

  • DOLPHIN DIVE at 0:22

  • Ah man riding a camel.

  • Quite scary the fact that the engine was still running quite a few seconds after it hit the ground.

  • Apparently he was "trying to install a Christmas Tree". I don't see one anywhere. So what was he doing then?

  • that'll buff out... lucky escape tho.

  • Fortunately, it landed on the right place.

  • The guy controlling the lift cable on the ground as the helicopter descended is too close to the chopper and yanked on it too quickly.

Instead of gently guiding the cable away from the helicopter's rotor, he inadvertently pulled it right into it.

If you pull on a slack cable hard and quickly it gives the cable momentum which causes it to bow outwards in the opposite direction to the slack .

  • Does it not worry people that, if it truly was the guy pulling on the cable that brought this helicopter down, just how easy it is to bring one to the floor?

  • Omen for Christmas?

  • its a transformer, it transforms into a pile of junk

  • They sure don't make 'em like they used to.

  • The only thing I kept thinking about when watching this was how the late Vic Morrow and those two kids got sliced in half by one of these things. Listen to that engine still spinning at tens of thousands of RPM's even after the blades come off. It sounds totally pissed off. Like an angry hornet who's been disturbed.

  • it was dat guy in 0:27 dat caused da crash?

  • Comment removed

  • @theawesomesstguy134 i still wonder WHY?!!! he decided to jump up and grab that cable...idiot

  • The Camera-man in the high viz running before the crash must have E.S.P.

  • they bloody ran....and so would i

  • the only reason i liked this video is that nobody died

  • Oh lord! All of those guys could have been sliced to shreds. wow.

  • Holy shit! And nice footage.

  • Such AMAZING Footage! saw it on fox and friends this morning.

  • I like how the guy in the yellow jacket pushes both the orange jackets out of the way, only to trip over his shoelaces and fall flat on his face.

  • Nek Minnit (No Disrespect) ...

  • The ground crewman who pulled on the longline causing it to go taught and hit the blades must feel a bit stupid

  • I know this is real, but this video looks fake..........

  • Who did the risk assessment on THAT?

  • Wow, this perspective shows just how lucky those guys on the ground were. The cable that was hit isn't very visible, most likely because of the bright sky in the background, but it's definitely there. The force causes the supporting steel tower on the left to wobble aswell.
