Anyone have a manual for the midi time piece? I have the old one from 1990 with the yellow silk screening it says 'Mark of the Unicorn' not Motu

@muzik4machines thanks for the reply. I wasn't able to find the manual on the motu site. Like I said I have the old 1990 Mark of the Unicorn MIDI Time Piece 128 channel. It has yellow silk screening on it and does not say MOTU on it anywhere. I want to know if I simply plug in my MIDI cables and go or if there are settings I need to input via PC. Do I send my main keyboard MIDI signal into the MIDI in on the front? What are the 16(spread across 8 ports) MIDI ins on the back for?

@UrbanCrunkMovement at the back there is 7 ins and 7 outs, and 1 in an 1 out in the front

you can do all routing from the front screen but by default, anything plugged in any input will be routed to all outputs at once

@LetsPlayMrMike even if you had the best computer ever, the only resolution available with those streams is 240p, some of my non live videos have up to 720p, but all those ustream recordings are very lo fi(but they sound good lol)

@LetsPlayMrMike sorry, i'll remove the posts, i thought you were criticizing my video resolution choice(which is not a choice really, they are ustream broadcasts and with 80Kbps upload it's the best i can stream to get full 192 kbps 44,100 stereo audio, so i put the video frame size and bitrate very low to give all bandwidth to the audio

I truly find this complete piece to be the perfect set to have playing in the background at all times. I've even watched movies with it and never even noticed because it's like a part of the atmosphere for me.

Should definitely do a live show on some broadcasting website like Justin.tv and do a fundraiser or a live stream with the Guiness people.

i'd rather spend those 10k and go play in europe for a bit

Damn, i've seen many of your vids, and i must say you've managed to kick some good synths-sounds out there, but I see you use some external synths. I've tried to get the right sound from my electribe, especially the bass saw, but it always sounds stupid or boring, no matter how i filter it, add efects, use tubes etc even with sidechain comp. Is it possible to get some serious sounding bass on the esx or emx, i mean really?

@Drutsonomg thanks a lot, the bass is the underloved almighty tx81z, you could try download the samples of it i made in your tribe, i never got to make a saw as fat using the built in saw in the esx, stretching a sample that low is crappy with those 2001 algo's lol, it probably is possible but i just gave up and bought the tx for like 50$, not knowing the power it held(bought it for the solid bass at first, thenmanaged to make the FMSaw i now use)
