As far as raw talent goes, of course he had plenty. But in their careers, drivers need to tame wild driving like his, with some restraint and wise driving. I don't think Montoya ever got to that stage however. Which of course is a shame. I definately enjoyed watching him battle it out with that likes of Schumi, Kimi and Alonso etc.
Thank you so much for sharing FormulaOneFan4eva,much appreciated. It seems to me that the Making of TWO videos of such relentless-inimitable driver like JPM, show that for you as for me he was the best, after the exceptional Ayrton Senna (see begining of the video). The truth prevails MONTOYEAH. Great video, song no bad at all. FormulaOne4ever.
@TOXICTRACE - I've made two videos for Webber, Schumacher, Senna, Alonso and Hamilton. I don't regard Montoya as the best after Senna, not even close.
This guy was Schumacher´s worst nightmare and definitely the most aggressive driver in the history of F1. I´d love to see Montoya and Hamilton in the same team, but I´m sure Martin Whitmarsh for the sake of his health, would refuse to be their team principal. =D
Brilliant video, brilliant soundtrack, a deserving tribute to a fantastic racer, who in my opinion, still has some unfinished business left to contend with in F1.
@NafizC That's true, but his McLaren 05' car was dearly un-reliable. He grappled with the set-up Monaco onwards, and his results don't show his true talent as McLaren. If the car was as reliable as the Renault in 2005, Nurburgring onwards, every race bar USA & Japan, could have been podiums.

@NafizC - I agree, moving to McLaren seemed to sap his motivation in the same way moving to Ferrari did Kimi.
