Oh Man!one elbow attack & one hard push from Laimbeer & Rodman respectively, that's the usual dirty plays did by the BadBoys Pistons to the Chicago Bulls especially Scottie Pippen, the Pistons would do all that they could do just to intimidate Scottie because Pip was so important to the Bulls beside Michael Jordan, the Bulls hate them so much, but to Scottie & Michael, U know what, the greatest Duo (MJ & PIP) thought that it's the good lessons in order to help them getting stronger & mature.
@RafaMz79 How can somebody not like Pippen? If there were any awards for 'Best Sportsmanship of All-Time' he would have won it. Plus, when Dennis got Hall-of-Fame in NBA he said: Somebody like Pippen deserves to in the Hall-of-Fame rather than me. I love both btw :D
lolz d-rod just makes me laugh him and charles barkley were probably the funniest players in the league but the toughest and most hard working players as well
goddamn Dennis no wonder Phil Jackson had you apologize to Pippen before you joined the bulls roster. Fouled him then threw the shit out of him I love it though
Flagarent 1?? LMFAOOOOO today that is flag 2 along with a 100,000 dollar fine and a week of suspension.. Fuck David Stern and he alwyz remind me of Darth Sidious off of star wars ahahahhhahaha
@libroadlin I'm a colossal Scottie fan. But I'm a fan of the game 1st. Dennis shoved him. It's the primary reason Dennis had to apologize to Scottie in Jerry Reinsdorf's kitchen before the Bulls would sign him.
@libroadlin Please try to keep up. I'll type slowly for you: Dennis had to apologize to Scottie before he signed with the Bulls. Also, "appoligization" isn't a word.
@libroadlin No. Dennis DID apologize because he knew it was excessive. That shove caused the welt that got busted the next game when Mark Aguirre made a similar, defensive "play" when Scottie had beaten him to the bucket. Scottie had to get stitches. You're not even in the States. I lived in Chicago in that era. My dearest friend was a ballboy back then.
Nevertheless, shut up. A person in Taiwan can't tell me shit about Chicago.
@libroadlin I didn't say he should, I didn't say he shouldn't. I just happened to watch his speech a few weeks earlier and this was still at the back of my head :) Not sure about real pain in this scene, but Scottie did have a scar from this, didn't he? Again, I was just mentioning something I had heard recently, I don't have any strong feelings on this issue :P
it took less than a minute after pippen got taken down for him to shoot his free throws. if that happened today, there wouldve been a 3 minute commercial break and the guy wouldve gone to the locker room for evaluation. not saying the game has gotten soft, but...
I remember that play. Laimbeer stunned Pippen with the elbow to the face and Rodman took care of the rest. As much of a Rodman fan as I am that was fucked up. I was all about Rodman's mind games but intentionally trying to hurt players isn't good for basketball. I can't believe those 2 guys played together years later. That just showed how much Pippen was dedicated to winning and it was a classy move by Rodman to apologize to Pippen in front of that huge crowd during their championship rally.
@OneGloriousBastard: Did Rodman do that? Could you tell me more about this? Where and when did that happen? I'm juge Pippen fan but I didn't know about Rodman's apology.
@houwie300 Yep he apologized at the '96 championship rally in Chicago. I'm sure someone has it uploaded somewhere on Youtube. Dennis basically gave Pippen a special thanks for accepting him on the team and apologized for shoving him into the goalpost in front of 200,000+ in attendance. Very nice gesture.I think that healed a lot of wounds between the two and is another reason Pippen has been campaigning to get Rodman into the HOF this year.
@OneGloriousBastard I remember that rally. It was hot as a mu'fucka. My sister I rode the Metra down there. If I'm not mistaken, Dennis thanked the fans for a "crazy fucking ride". MAN those were good times. MAN it's fun being from Chicago.
This is why the bulls gave up and joined Team Rodman

Sure NBA has become pussified compared ot the 80's and 90's, but its nowhere the near the degree that its happened in the NFL.

This case is quite special. It seem that Dennis had push Scottie.
The real situation is both of them can not hold their bodies well.
What's the difference is Scottie stands is in front side, so he got more
strength because of Dennis weight.

Bulls signed Dennis Rodman just because his value on the court, not for his appoligization.
There's no big deal for that foul comparing to BUll's demanding on Rodman. video...

@upabittoolate It seems that you really care that why Dennis had not say sorry to him.

Dennis would have not come to Chicago if Phil Jackson were so small minded like somebody.

@upabittoolate
Haha!!, do you really know about Dennis Rodman?
If he did apologized for that, he is not Dennis.
Actually, he did not care whether Scottie forgave him or not.
As a Scottie fan like you, I hope you to think why he can play with Dennis.
Is it because the apology? or because of his toughness?
Great players never care about those tiny things.
Try to learn more about Dennis, guys in the Bulls,
and what Scottie has commented about Dennis.
Keep a sensible mind!
