Ok, so the Downbeats became the Elgins. The guys needed to continue on singing more for when Sandra joined it was she that lead the group. I liked her voice but hearing these guys they needed to continue with them singing as well.

I am confused with the pictures of the Downbeats. The pictures are of the Elgins. What's up with this? Can someone explain. Is this group from Motown early days? I have to say the songs I've heard thus far are great.

The Downbeats are they 3 guys, when Saundra joined them they changed their names to the elgins

Not sure but I think that the Temps thought about using the Elgins name in the early formative years.
