  • Thank goodness VHS tapes didn't ruin the movie industry. CLOSE CALL! Whew!!

  • This is so old it's probably not iligal

  • @TheGmack101 This is only for the UK phone number.. 0181 568 6646.. Ireland marks the 01 6777 071.

  • "Poor Quality reduces your viewing pleasure...."

So I should demand higher quality porn vids?

  • They've lost this battle.

  • Good times...

  • is that a real phone number if so how do i call it

  • @TheGmack101 Yes it is. Dial it on a ring phone.

  • This is blast from the past!

  • 3 people bought a pirated tape with near-perfect holograms.

  • @ryanasaurus0077 3 people bought a illegal tape without a genuine hologram..

  • They have some fucking nerve to talk about our "viewing pleasure" when they released widescreen movies in almost unwatchable pan and scan format.

  • My viewing pleasure? No its fine, porn looks good no matter what

  • @PandaStrikeGaming lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • okay i'll download them instead.

  • Fuck it! Vote to Libertarians!

  • Very Good Mesage Thats why you cant skip this mesage on a DVD

  • I remember seeing this message on the video cassttes at the English video store.

  • OH VHS remember the pauses things used to jerk around.

  • Very nostalgic for me as I always used to use VHS all the time until now I don't much use it. Always saw these warning illegal messages before a movie starts.

  • I'm scared of this! I like the Disney one with " Don't be attempted to buy cheap illegal pirate copies, or you just might hear about it from your children!" I'm from the USA and I watch videos from all over the world!

  • this was varied on all rca columbia

pictures home video at the time it was called it was on videos to ghostbusters

and fright night in the 80's but it became

columbia pictures and tristar home video

in the 90's and now it is called sony home entertainment but i remembered them well.

  • so, if i bought a pirate video without this warning, how could i know about it? hahahahaha.

  • check if the number still works

  • it doesn't the UK changed their area code system about ten years ago

  • I remember this on nearly all my videos as much as the "U" trailer

  • Despite what they might try to feed you, most pirate videos are NOT unwatchable, and there's NO NEED for comeback. I fail to see how so called "poor quality" illegal video cassettes reduce your viewing pleasure...

for one thing pirated copies don't feature this warning....

  • This must have been used on UK videos from Columbia-TriStar Home Video. Disney videos had a similar pirate warning and even used special logo holograms to tell if a cassette is pirated or not.

  • I could never understand why they put this shit on non pirated vids and dvds and make us sit though it.

  • Video Pirates. Damn them for Jeopardising future film production! = P

  • Man, this must be from the UK. What tape was this from and when was it released?

  • Terrorist Groups use pirates to sell VHSs and DVDs. Arrrrrr, thar be special features. Call 1-800-ARR-DVD.

  • Same thing when they do prated dvd

  • What's The Worst Thing It Could Happen?

  • I luv this its funny I've seen it on a Van Damme film

  • That From ANNIE 1. And Did You Put No Sign To -2. You Lied To Me! AGAIN!

  • What the hell are you on about? ANNIE 1 isn't a real movie, besides, this has been seen on HUNDREDS of tapes, I can name 20 right now.

And what sign did I put to -2?

  • This Video Hate Your Words!

  • But Annie Is I Saw On A Video That's True!

  • Oh yeah. There is a movie called Annie, but not ANNIE 1. Big difference. Oh, and this was on a Van Damme film called Street Fighter, because I have it on video! 20p from a charity shop!

I'm not lying about anything. It's just you being spazzy again. Mow go and take your Autism pills.

  • It's True! This Video I Saw On The Opening Previews Of Anine Is True Not Fake You Crazy Man. You're Lying Again!

  • I know that I never said it wasn't on Annie, I said it wasn't on ANNIE 1, which isn't a real movie. And I'm not lying this really was on a Van Damme film!

  • This is illegal, you know =P

  • YTP fad quote here!

  • Ahhh I remember this.

  • I have never seen this before.

  • Because your from the US.

  • seen this on loads of videos

  • i hate things like that there so boring

  • this used to make me laugh whenever i used to play me stuart little video

  • lol, i remember those days fast forwarding thru these

  • It's definitely on the start of the VHS release of Vice Versa, starring Judge Reinhold and Fred Savage. The irony is that the copy I have was bought in Malta in the early 90s. It is both a pirate copy and has a counterfeit version of the hologram on it. I must get round to going back to my video retailer to demand a genuine video cassette!

  • No it's not on Vice Versa, I have that, and this is not on there!

  • get the disney dvd hologram

  • Columbia-TriStar isn't the only company that puts holograms on its cassettes. Paramount does, too (I've noticed), and I think Warner Bros. does as well.

  • So does (well, did) Orion.

  • I think this Promo Once Appered on my Matilda Video.

  • I have it on "First Knight".

  • yo, rackabello, i have thah public info film, i will be posting it soon. this was only used on columbia tristar tapes mid 90's. the one before this had the same voiceover, backgrounds, and print obove the tape and below it, but the hologram never said columbia tristar home video on it. [1992-1995]

  • you don't happen to have the public information film that usually followed this - I think it was a market place where a guy was trying to get his five quid back for a shoddy pirate video and ended with something like "Pirate Videos: Daylight Robbery"

  • oh god, that brings back memories

  • Arg, there's another version of this with an infinitely more earnest voiceover. He really does want you to NOT accept it.

  • I think I know which one you're talking about

  • I think that might have been Simon Bates, I'd love to get a hold of that - it'd make an excellent set of samples.

  • erm...double post or no post...damn this infuriating adblock nonsense!

Simon Bates, were is his voice-over now? I've love to get it for samples!

  • yes, that guy was used alot of Guild Home Video/Distribution (Including Fox Guild Rental tapes) He is really stern and has a deep commanding voice that scares you into submission!!) :))

  • "Mr. Video Salesman, I demand a *genuine* cassette, dammit! I've had enough of your poor quality illegal tapes... they reduce my viewing pleasure!"

  • Looooooooooool I'm gonna do that!

  • 0181-568-6646 Federal Against Copyright Theft (FACT)

  • LOLOLOLOL that's hilarious!!

  • Great! I needed this clip for my movie!

  • Arrrr! Pirates rock.

  • Oh, so that's what those shiny, rainbow-colored things on videotapes are for.

  • Ha ha I remember these!!!

  • The only pirate videos I watched were porn, A Clockwork Orange and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre ;-)

  • @sundaeg1rl Oh please don't hurt me, pleeeeeaaaaase!!
