These are points about the format of the print edition versus the current format of the online articles. It's just as easy to release a digital edition that has a similar format to the current dead-tree NYT.
I was expecting a demonstrating of using the (physical) newspaper to pick up after one's dog, help in accelerating deforestation, etc.
The Times, I'm afraid, is going to lose this battle. In the next 5 years, progress in eInk and ubiquitous wireless access is going to kill the newspaper industry.
I prefer a paper on the train, on the toilet, at the beach, on a plane. It is also easier to flip through as they say. I would never read the obituaries online, I wouldn't find many articles that weren't on the web front page... etc...
