he had mentioned it in his lesson on UG (great site). its called a pinch harmonic because you basically "pinch" the string using your pick and your thumb. i'll advise you to check it out!

Mn gitaar gaat eerst naar mn Boss GT-8 (multieffects) voor de klank.. En daarna in stereo naar mn Edirol UA-1EX, dat is een USB-interface.. Een soort externe soundcard voor mn pc zeg maar. Geen verlies van geluidskwaliteit door crappy videocamera's ofzo dus xD

Oké bedankt. Ik ga een keer kijk naar zo'n soort apparaatje. Da's wel handig, vooral als ik een band heb, en dan mijn versterker in een repetitieruimte neerzet, en dan thuis geen versterker nodig heb, maar toch een goed geluid kan krijgen. Wat vind jij van die Line 6 Toneports dan? Ik heb gehoord dat ze best wel goed zijn. Ik heb trouwens ook een GT-8.

Ik zou niet weten hoe die Toneports zijn want ik heb er zelf geen.. Ik heb idd ook gehoord dat ze goed zijn maar alleen de betere modellen.

Trouwens, om geluid te krijgen moet je toch nog steeds een versterker hebben hoor, tenzij je je gitaar uit je pc luidspreker wil horen! Je verbindt dan gewoon de output van de soundcard met je versterker.. Zo gaat het geluid zowel naar je pc als naar je versterker.

Je moet toch horen wat je opneemt, terwijl je het speelt? ;)

Als ik "normaal" speel, gaat de output van mijn GT-8 naar mijn versterker, in mono. Als ik opneem, gaat de GT-8 in stereo naar mijn geluidskaart en dan naar mijn stereo hifi-installatie via een speciaal kabeltje.. Zo hoor ik alles wat ik opneem via mijn eigen stereo installatie, zoals op een mp3 zou klinken dus eigenlijk :)

Oja, klopt. Maar wat voor een kabel heb je eigenlijk nodig om je gitaar aan dat apparaat aan te sluiten, want volgens mij past een gewone 1/4 of 1/8 inch geluidskabel er niet in.

Dat hangt echt van het apparaat af hoor.. Voor dat van mij heb je een kabel nodig met aan 1 kant een normale male jack, en aan de andere kant een cinch male.
