You're obviously quite bright, but not enough to shake the media's influence entirely. Their music ISN'T great. Revolver. Pet Sounds. Who's Next. That's great music. Definitely Maybe was a good debut, featuring some decent tracks and even one great song in Live Forever. Morning Glory had a few decent tracks but was riddled with filler (two swamp songs), a song lifted from Gary Glitter and the awful "Hey Now". That's not a great record.

And the rest of their career... well, let's not go there.

Okay, I will agree that the success of Oasis has been helped by the media. But they are a fantastic band with fantastic music, their music isnt great to you, because of eopinion and emotion as i said before, but to me and hell of alot of other people its the greatest. And Definately maybe was defined as THE album of the 1990s, there are songs from it and from morning glory that stand as anthems, Wonderwall is one of the most famous songs in the world and you cant deny that.
