@psmccallion at 3:50 I did try to exaggerate a bit by moving the cameras further apart, by half a meter, and kept constant. I can tell you that both cameras are at the same angle though. but i do accept the vid is not perfect. I made this as an expt for myself (which was a fun process, took me a few hours). most 3d movies aren't real stereoscopic 3D either, if they were, some audience wouldn't notice much of a difference. but i understand ur concern, hope u recover from any headaches caused. :P

@colinfirst002 lol. yes i have a very big headache now thanks a lot........just kidding :P. i had this big spiel that i just deleted coz well...why bother. things to try. camera angles need to be different, creating a focus point in the scene (paralax). you don't need to move them apart that much at all. lighting needs to be the same on both images. You can't have something in 1 video and not have it in the other (explosions). omg i just typed another spiel lol. anyway hope that helps.

Use your finger to focus your eyes so that the two halves of the screen combine (looking at finger, watching the screen). Then, take away your finger, and it would get clearer after a minute. I don't really need a finger anymore at all to do this.

BEST TIP IF YOU CAN'T DO IT: if you succeed, there will be THREE screens: left will be long blurry, middle will be shockingly 3d, and right will be a blur as well. once you got it, somehow your vision will easily adapt to it and clear up after separating the three squares. this is what i got! hope this tip helps.

This concept is awesome, but I wouldn't recommend this for a first timer. You might fuck up your eyes, at first I was able to 'lock' them together as I call it, but only for a few seconds then it started to look weird. Besides, the quality is shit so you can't really see the epicness.

My point is that it creates an incorrect 3D image because the left and right "channel" aren't "recorded" during the same circumstances, the light angle is different so that the shadows don't line up, also the colour left and right is different, etc.

The shadows aren't the same in both pics, objects are in different places in both pics, same with particle effects and even some terrain. It really DOES WORK! But it's not the best video to start watching cross-eyed with. Too much objects/colours/things to concentrate on. Try to start with another video (as example 3D Exploding Ball)

Cross your eyes until you see the picture three times and in the same size. Try to hold it (it is hard!). At the beginning the picture won't be sharp, but it will does in time. When the picture in the middle that is produced in your brain starts to shrink you lost concentration and have to start again

@Yerizzo not really. The space of the game is supposed to be 3D but in fact it is 2D in the sense that there is no depth. The brain realises that there is no depth but compensates for this since it knows that it is supposed to be 3D. Now, real 3D ads depth and you can clearly see the difference (all about depth in the image).
