obviously not realistic as three guys would get surrounded and smoked in minutes but god damn. I wish more movies could pull off shootouts of this caliber more often. it's just so well done

@winokur89 but look man. by the time the police knew about the robbery, the crooks were already in the car. but still it is a movie and a real cops vs robbers shootout like that would last no time

Did you see the real shootout that was inspired by this movie at the BOA in Los Angeles? They were not 'surrounded and smoked in minutes' and they weren't even highly trained like these guys are supposed to be in the movie. They managed to stay alive for 40+ minutes. The standard cop isn't really equipped for shootouts with assailants carrying automatic weapons
