This game was so depressing. The Sens started off badly this game and it just went downhill from there, with Chris Phillips scoring on his own net. Emery did not play well this game but has played well over the season. Although I wanted the Sens to win, the Anaheim Ducks were the better team (with great CANADIAN players)...I have faith that the Sens will bring home the cup soon.
The NHL should reconfigure itself into two eight team conferences: a Canadian division consisting of the habs, maple leafs, senators, oilers, canucks, and two american teams that nobody cares about (like the panthers and predators, should be moved to canada to recreate the nordiques and jets. Then there should be an american division consisting of the bruins,flyers,sabres,rangers,penguins,redwings,blackhawks,and avalanche. All other teams should be dissolved.

I think this series proved that the West is just a lot better than the East. Consider that the 7 & 8 seeds from the West took the number one seeds from the East to a seventh game. And now, when a higher seed advances from the West, the series was lopsided.
I totally agree with you. I think after this year of free agency it will be a little more even, because the big spending east teams will have figured the salary cap out a little more. Were as the west teams especially the lower seeds that contended were used to low team salaries

Actually the Flames won it in game 6 when the GWG went in according the video replay, but the refs didn't bother checking.
So Calgary lost that game and the next one.

Dude, look at the rosters, Anaheim actually has the highest amount of Canadian players on it. So we actually won another one, just like three Canadians (Brind'amour, Staal and Ward) won it the year before.

you do realize that the ducks had more Canadian players on their roster than any other team right? and if you saw who won the awards, all the big ones (save for the norris) went to Canadians. so ya, that statement is completely wrong. Also, no one in Canada outside of Ottawa wanted to Sens to win, they are joke of a franchise to the rest of canada.

I wish hockey was sent to Canada and Europe for good. Most Americans could care less about hockey. The NHL is filled with mostly Euros and Canadians anyways. Best playoff moments was Brett "butt" Hull putting down the Ducks whenever he could. Dumbass! Look for his contributions next year....not. Gretzky wannabe.

Well, the Ducks were the team to beat. They were dominant in so much of that series, regardless of the scoreboard. But there is no way they can have a dynasty, or even 2 in a row. Parity will make sure there is a new champ in 2008. I can only hope it's the SABRES!!!!!

Alredsson takes the puck solo from his end into the opposition's and puts it in by himself, and the rest of his team on the benches are like "Holy shit, we actually scored !". How sad is that ? Ottawa doesn't deserve Alfie, they've treated him like shit for years, and this year he gives a Conn Smythe performance and noone else steps up. He should find himself a real team and the sens should be re-buried.
