  • You got it PERFECTLY :O

  • just amazing!!! like a PRO!!

  • @juan8T88 Thanks!

  • Why have you changed the music background ? Copyrights issues ? By the way, cool idea to play this scene from this novel, because it's vital for the plot and have a big dose of this specific mood of this series

  • @dfeas10 Changed the background music? I'm not sure what you're talking about. This is the music I've always had on here since I made it.

  • @dfeas10 Oh, and thanks for the compliment! ;)

  • @dfeas10 Well deserved !

And about the song - sorry, my mistake, I've done some search and it turns to that I've mistook your video for video posted on YT as "Cole Burns,Slow hand" which has music from Brian Tyler - "winner gets me"

  • And that is a trailer about a fictional comic based on entirely fictional people who for reasons beyond our control, will never make it to mass media such as movies or video games.

  • @Urdalibertine And if/when it ever does, it'll probably be terribly mediocre.

  • Dude, this was PERFECT.

  • @incaoutburst Thank you!

  • Very very well done. One thing though, Wylie Times dropped the match, it wasn't Cole dropping the cigarette that killed Roland Dietrich.

The guy playing Cole looks exactly like the graphic novels... holy crap!

  • @Asalieri whoops, the match was indeed what was thrown. Ok, but there wasn't a bald minuteman.

  • @Asalieri Thanks so much for watching and for the compliments! Yeah, I'm aware there wasn't a bald Minuteman but most of the guys you see here were the result of a very last minute casting call, amongst my friends, for men that had black suits. A lot harder to gather than one would think, but it might've had something to do with it being 115 degrees that day on top of a parking garage.

  • @Asalieri The effect I would've liked to have tried, was a trippy blur on their heads to represent Cole's lack of memory. Not a Cops/documentary type of blur, but more of an integrated visual effect.

Also, I'm the one playing Cole. This whole idea started when a friend and I started reading the series at the same time and he thought that I really looked like him. I still hope to make "Cole Burns Slow Hand" into an actual short film, someday!

  • @AICfanAZ dude, it was the most impressive fan project i've seen, so kudos! I would love to play Shepherd for ya!

  • good job guys. love the book, that looked pretty good. keep going.

  • this was a well detailed short, cole burns was well casted for this.. kudos.. i would love to see more shorts from you based on the comic.. johnny depp as cole burns for the movie?

  • I will rephrase this.

If the Trust was Augustinian in origin, then yeah burning a leader of that cult alive.........would be a huge no no.

A kind of major ritualistic voodoo diss in a country with 13 stripes and again the oldest city is called St Augustine.

I am not saying clowns like those shown in the comic, control this country in real life but there are real life counterparts for the people portrayed in the comic.Mostly they don't run anything, they just randomly screw people over.

  • If 13 "the trust" was based along Augustinian lines, whose main book had 13 chapters.

Then burning a member of the trust alive would be a major diss as the original founder St Augustine(which has a city named after him in Florida)was highly against burning heretics and hence mainstream Christians.

  • I love this. I love the comic soooo much and this was ana amazing adaptation.

  • which chacter was being portrayed?

  • @vikmega It's in the video description. This is the flashback sequence for Cole Burns. Thanks for watching.

  • @AICfanAZ Cole was awsome

  • It would have to be sin city style to keep the color scheme. Not quite as heavy as sin city but enough to keep the colors and feel.

So what camera did you use? also film or digital?

What is test footage for? I assume to see how it would look with the camera and costumes and shit right?

    Really liked it.

    ..

  • @aaa9584 Hey, thanks for the compliments! Sin City style would be cool & I'd probably do it if I had a greenscreen and cgi experience.

I went to filmschool years ago but found the best experience is helping on a set. The camera was a Panasonic DVX100a. It's not HD, but has a great film-like image. The test footage was because I was considering making "Cole Burns, Slow Hand" into a short-film, but never got around to it for fear of getting in trouble with DC. Maybe, someday.

  • It would have to be sin city style I think. not quite so heavy, but you would need enough to keep the color scheme up.

That being said I fucking love this. How much did it cost you? Did you go to film school? digital or film? What kinda camera?

    Details, I want details

p.s. Whats test footage for? just to see how it would look? check out the actors and the camera and locations and shit right?

  • Cole Burn! Awesome.

  • Well done.

  • Not perfect, but that's just nitpicking. Nice work.

  • wow looks like the comic!!!

    nice job fellas!!!

  • Well done, I'd love to see you do more.

  • cool!

  • Nicely done. They should make the series on HBO.

  • i heard a rumor that showtime maybe considering making this a series.

  • There are so many great little stories going on throughout 100 bullets that multiple movies or series would be perfect.....Sin City style?

  • great job loved it!! got the tone of the book for sure!

  • really good job, i was impressed

  • very well done

  • That was pretty impressive

  • yo dude let me tell you something...i've seen alot of fan made movies for random comics and movies but this is the best i have ever seen and i started reading the comics. i hope this comes ut soon cause it looks amazing

  • spoilers: that guy they are burning is megan deitrich's old man

  • nice)

  • Great job, I am on issue 50 right now. You are really onto something there. Keep it up!

  • this clip is from issue 10 i just started reading 100 bullets its hot

  • This was really good. Good choice of music, captured the emotion well. I wouldn't care for the panel to panel accurracy when making a comic book based film, so don't. Film and Comic Books have different rhythm patterns. But I'm sure you know that by the look of this short. May I suggest tighter close ups, not much just a little bit closer. Don't want to offend to by the suggestion.

  • Not too shabby at all, especially for test footage. Probably not 100% accurate but at the very least I definitely recognized the scene and didn't notice and glaring differences.

  • i can't remember what issue this scene's from

  • impressive, as usual. GET TO THE CHOPPA!

  • I wanna help u finish this. i mean i want to make this a real movie

  • Dude that was awesome. I like how you used alot of the color orange and black. Good job.

  • Nice vid

  • Guy, I could sit for hours going into each issues intracacies; but I aint gonna'. Either grab a issue and read it when you see it or don't.

  • Whoops, I think you responded to me accidentally. I really doubt losr98 could keep up with the story. If he wants to ignore it, and would rather bitch about how lame he thinks it looks merely by judging a scene that was taken out of context, let him. Ignorance is bliss. As always, thanks for the support RushinNinja.

  • No prob AICfanAZ. It's a shame though.

  • who ever liked this is a retard who would like pop up books with little coolering areas.

all he fuckin does is drink and preepare to light someone on fire like that doesnt happen in everyother movie.

everyone who watched this should watch the transporter 3 trailer and see witch one is better.

  • Apples and oranges, my friend. You obviously don't know what "100 Bullets" is. If you think The Transporter is so original, you've obviously never seen anything from Hong Kong cinema.

  • I guarentee you if AICfanAZ, or any other producers and directors worth their salt had even a slightly substantial budget and did a feature leangth film of 100 Bullets or even an HBO-esque series it would obliterate your train of thought and you'd pop your foot in your mouth quick. If you like comics and you want to check out something new, check out

100 Bullets It'll blow your mind.

  • yeah i doubt it would be better than anything that ive watched before with a low budget it just doesnt look astonishing or original or anything that hasnt been done before. but you go ahead and be awed by it its your choice.

  • I definitely will, but basically everything has been done in one way or another. And you frankly can't say it's un-original since you haven't checked out 100 Bullets, the story is brilliant, the characters are larger than life, and the concept is awesome... But I guess you'll never know.

  • see thats not what i said i just said from the get go that it doesnt appeal to me becuase ive probably seen alot better. any one can make a movie about something that they think is cool. but will other people feel the smae way. movies that i think are good are movies like the transporter, and the bourne series. thoose movies have good concepts and good plots among other things but maybe u could tell me what ugh what is it again 100 bullets.

  • Nah, I'm done. You obviously don't want to give something new a chance. The transporter and Bourne are good, their great but they are technically the same thing: One man martial arts/combat master out to right who's wronged him, cool but nothing new... But yeah they are great, so you just stick with them.

  • see thats where your wrong both of thoose movies have maybe a little of thee same concept but 2 completley different styles they arent aalike at all. but what is the concept of 100 bullets huh huh i bet that aint too fresh neither is it. i seriusly doubt that 100 bullets is fresh even from lookin at this. ive seen other trailers for this or at least with the same name and they looked so dumb.

  • Dude. You probably shouldn't say retard with so many typos and grammar mistakes in your comment. Not saying your retarded, just saying it's like an oxymoron or something...

  • god damn it. i was so far away from this video and then your ass sends me a message so now i gotta come back to this shit. the reason my shit is fucked up becuz i type so fast my fingers sometimes hit the wrong bottuns. thats a dumb thing to say anyway you could be really smart and not know how to type worth shit. ur the retard becuz u think someone cares if ppl have perfect typing. this is youtube!

  • ummm dude...remember I said "Not saying your retarded," so I wasn't calling you retarded...And I understand that you type fast and that can put a serious strain on accuracy when typing. Was just saying that it would make more sense if you proofread what you typed. But other than that, yeah, nobody cares what somebody types on Youtube. I think you should take some advice from the Dark Knight though, mainly, "Why so serious?!" Lighten up man;)

  • well if you werent then my bad but your typing was giving off a sarcastic vibe.

"Why so serious?!" im not serious your the one that took my typos serious and made a deal out of it. im not serious thats why i didnt proof read cuz i dont care. and nobody else does.

  • Good point, well made. And yeah, now that I look at it, my typing was kind of giving off a sarcastic, negetive, hippy vibe;)

  • i think your being a prick. and you make that winking face at the end.

  • What? Hahaha. LOL. What have I said to make you think that? And what is wrong with the little emote? haha

  • yeah..................retarded

  • Thanks for your thorough and in-depth analysis. Have fun with your Transporter movies.

  • transporter movies are way better than this low budget shit.

  • Wow! You are a SMART one, aren't you? When I come across several million dollars, I'll be sure to ad some spinning car stunts and some oil-slick Kung-Fu fighting.

  • dude you cant fuckin talk with you low budget movie it wont hardley have any good shit in it becuase they dont have any money and you know why they aint got no money.....becuase all of their movies sucked ass and they never made shit worth watching.

stop fucking hating on the tranporter movies just becuase they are original. u never saw noone role in oil and kick everyones ass before that. but youve seen people get set on fire before. so shut the fuck up with your straight to dvd movie.

  • Well, you're right. We didn't have a budget, because that is basically what independent filmmaking is. Then again, what would you know about indie filmmaking? You probably don't know any movie that exists outside of what's being advertised on MTV. This is TEST FOOTAGE that was made into a trailer FOR FUN. Do you know why filmmakers make test footage? I doubt you do. I'm sure you know how to stuff a fruit roll-up into your mouth. Good job. Be careful. Don't choke.

  • ha ha funny i hate fruit roll ups never mention thoose again.

i watch tons of independent films. but the majority of the time i watch them they happen to suck. and there is a couple of them i like but you didnt have to hate on transporter. i was just saying from the beggining that this looks like a peice of crap. now a good independent film is the one where theres a guy with guns in a guitar case and there is anothor guy with a real guitar and they mistake the two. fuck you though.

  • Alright, dude. Apologies to Mr. Statham. Remember, stay in school, try your hardest not to fail English, and steer clear of clamidia. Keep these in mind, and you just may get by in life. Peace out.

  • what a great interpretation of the atlantic city flashback.

its also my favorite part in the comics.

  • Thank you! I'll keep you posted if more footage is made.

  • It was a fun simple trailer I enjoyed it :). I think the best part would be wondering if there were bystanders watching. I mean its not everyday you pull a guy out from your car with a bag over his head right? Not to mention pouring on him what looks like gasoline.

    Cheers

  • Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. You caught something that has always bugged me about it. The team that I assembled for this vid, was really only available at a specific time, and that was during the day. Not to mention, our lighting equipment was next to nil. Next time. BTW, haven't you ever lit someone on fire during the day? ;)

  • that fucking kicks ass! 100 bullets is the greatest serial i've read since blade of the immortal. if you want a lono or a counterfifth detective, i'll mummy my ass up and be at your door.

  • Cool, thanks, man! I appreciate the comments!

  • nice video..finish and make more

  • oh man sorry for the double post(or triple?)i did not notice my brother used my account, anyways keep up the 100 bullets vids

  • great touch dude..every detail is exact except it happened at night nad was raining...great vid thou, looking forward for more 100 bullets. great kick ass comic..the best to date

  • great vid very how should i say it "very 100 bullets style" hehe if there's such a thing... salud 2 u and yor frends.. and yeah show it 2 showtime or hbo u myt get lucky.

  • Wasn't Cole drinking José Cuervo Especial?

  • You ARE just being a smart ass, right?

  • Probably THE smartest ass there is. But it's been a while since I red the comics now - Wasn't Cole drinkin' JCE in the graphic novel?

  • He was, but the bottle we used was already in our possession and we didn't want to drop the extra cash for just test footage. Thanks for watching.

  • you gotta get a close up on Victor Ray, Fuckin bad ass! Showtime/HBO should pick it up. unless michael mann,Rob Rodriguez, or Tarentino direct, hollywood will just fuck it up, like everything else. just like that FUCKIN PIECE OF SHIT WANTED.

  • It would be nice if a Cable Channel such as HBO pick 100 bullets up as a season long TV series. If it was made in a movie I would like to see multiple directors directing it, such as John Woo, or Rob Rodriguez, or Richard Donner, or a Michael Mann, or Antoine Fuqua, or a Mel Gibson, or the Wachkowski brothers, or Michael Bay, or John Mctiernnan, Or James Cameron, or Tony Scott, or Remy Harlin, Or Bret Ratner, Oliver Stone, or Gore Verbanski. Just not Quentin Terribletino.

  • What? Ratner over Tarantino? Say it isn't so!

  • Style-wise, 100 Bullets resembles a Tarantino more than anything else.

    And f*ck Gore Verbanski.

  • Mel Gibson... Are you insane?

Who directed this clip... I think they would have a chance to shine amongst the "big boys"

  • I directed it. Thanks for the awesome compliment! It's about as awesome as a compliment, as I can receive!

  • supposed to be night time and raining...

  • I apologize for not waiting for it to rain in the middle of summer in AZ. Or dropping the cash to rent some giant rain machines. What you see here, is how it looked in the first version of this flashback. Besides, this is test footage. Cut me some slack.

  • my mistake, so he's thinner then. Rest of the minutemen look good.

  • Pretty solid adaptation of the scene. Don't know that I agree with the casting choices (Wylie? Really? And who was the bald Minuteman?) but definitely fun to see. It'd be fun to see more sometime.

  • Hey, thanks for the comments. Aside from Cole, the rest of actors playing the Minutemen were really stand-ins (it's really tough to find 6 other guys w/ black suits at the last minute). I had the intention of doing a trippy blur effect on their faces, as to hide their identity, but I haven't gotten around to it. This was just test footage that I made into a trailer. More in-depth casting will be made later on.

  • Cool, cool. Obscuring their faces would be good, especially what with the hazy "We haven't seen these guys yet" nature of that first Cole AC flashback. Good stuff, though. I like this more now than I did yesterday for some reason. I feel like you captured the tone really well and I didn't notice. Keep up the good work. I'd love to see more stuff adapted... Especially some Lono. Ooh, maybe the Lono/Jack fight.

  • kinda sucks, burns is a bit older, thinner and he's got shorter hair.

  • Okay, I'll give you "older and thinner," but have you actually seen this flashback sequence in the series? His hair is the exact same length. Thanks for watching.

  • Hey AICfanAZ, was just going through

"The Hard Way and noticed that there was a section in it that happened right before this part in your movie. Any plans to do that?

  • omg dude that is fucking amazing, im writing a 15 page repot on 100 bullets right now and that just gave me a super morale boost. Ur cole burns looks great, down to the detail with the lime, and even the knife. Awesome man. Know all u gotta do is find the other actors the look more like the minutemen

  • Thank you! It's awesome to hear that it gave you a little boost. I'm actually the one playing Cole. My friends who like 100 Bullets were like, "Dude, you totally look like him." I have the perfect guy to play Lono, but I'd have to figure out what to do to get them into the same story.

  • Fantastic. I'm a big fan, and you've definitely captured the look and feel of

100 Bullets. And don't let little nit pick critiques get you down, 'cause this was awesome. Glad someone had the guts to do it, was just talking to someone else about how a live action version of 100 Bullets would look. And you've done it.

  • Thanks! That means a lot! I'm looking forward to making the complete short, and giving something to fellow 100 Bullets fans, that they'll thoroughly enjoy.

  • Can't wait.

  • FUCKING BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • why didn't that guy get up and try to run?

  • Well, he IS sort of tied up, beaten, and blindfolded.

  • I was looking to see if his feet were tied up. Uh, someone pours gasoline on you or anything that will kill you, you will struggle and maybe run.

  • I see your point, but imagine if you'd been tortured and/or beaten for hours on end, and possibly had one or both of your legs broken, or seriously injured, I doubt you'd be in the condition to sprint away. Aside from that explanation, this is a direct translation from what happens in the series. The exact explanation for what happened in this scene, at the point that I've chosen, hasn't yet been revealed.

  • I know I have the books. That does not make it right. It looks very contrived to make it look...cool(?). At time 1:00, he doesn't even move. I'de think someone might just show his feet being tied up just so no one asks a question like that.

  • I thought I'd give the audience the benefit of the doubt, and let them decide that the guy is in no condition to turn into Carl Lewis. Sure, the guy isn't moving at EXACTLY 1:00 (not 1:01, not 1:02), and I'll admit that that could be improved. Why don't you take up the "rope on the feet" thing with Eduardo Risso? He drew the guy as being on his feet, instead of dragged, which I did. If you own the books, why are you asking me about the guy not running?

  • Because I think you should have fixed that. If it works, don't mess with it; but, if it doesn't work, then you should fix it. You should not be slavish to the material. It is a small and annoying that bothers me and I would think it should bother you as well.

  • Well, it's test footage (as it says in the description), so if I ever re-shoot this scene, I'll keep it in mind. Thanks.

  • He was terrified of the awesome fury of the minutemen... Read the issue, he shits himself.

  • I thought the guy being killed was a Minuteman? If he was and wnated to commit suicide, then there could have been a better way. If they were killing someone else, then still, that makes no sense. The logic I would suggest is, if it ain't broke don't fix it, but if it has problems, just smooth it out.

  • I don't know if ya can just grab up someone elses work and basically make a panel to scene duplicate, and smooth it out. Might be considered disrespectful, besides like AICfanAZ said he chose a point in the story where that plot point has not been revealed yet.

  • You've got to be kidding. Batman has been redone soooo many times, that at times he seems like a different character from what he originally was. Film and comics are two very different mediums. Nothing from with altering something that makes no sense.

  • Well...Chris Nolan is a good choice, but the way i see it...Joe Carnahan is the one.

  • awesome!!! it's about time somebody turned this earth-shattering comic into a cinematic vision! what an intense story! excellent job on this trailer!!! i haven't read 'decayed,' yet. does it rock? very much in agreement with your assessment on 'preacher,' as well.

  • Thanks! I haven't read "Decayed" yet either. I still have some catching up to do. In terms of Preacher, I hope they're still doing it.

  • I think it would work better as an HBO series.

  • I agree. I think the material is so dense, it couldn't be covered in just one movie. Which is why I'm glad they're turning Preacher into an HBO series (if it EVER comes out).

  • Love it. What directors do you think could turn this into a great film?

  • Cool, thanks! First director that comes to my mind is Chris Nolan. How about you?

  • There's a few that would do a good job. Chris Nolan is a great choice mind. I think they'd need to make more than one for it to work properly as well.

Maybe Fernando Meirelles or Chan-Wook Park?
