noobs use turbosmooth. the more detail u put in your self the better. i have a nasty habbit of starting high poly then starting low and adding more later. but everyone starts different.

Make a Material with your pic... Then use it on a plane that has the exact same size as the pic's pixel size.

click on views then on view background make sur that you selected match bitmap and lock zoom,then click on files so you can out the pic of the front or the top or the side....

@trusexyboi you can also drag an drop your photo on your object, which usually is plane, but maybe sometimes need to rotate, remember to make the planes in the same size as the image.

WOW! Very nice, Although you are working with a very low polygon count, unless your going to make an animation, or use it in a game, then i recommend kicking the smoothing levels up a bit. I usually use turbo smooth because its the most advanced smoother.

Hey ! nice job on the car... one question, how did u put the blueprints together like that? every time I try to make a car in 3dsm i start with the arch of the wheel and when i try to align it with the other 2 pics it comes out 2-3 cm offset

what grid? I don't even care anymore. this video is from 2007 buddy... I stopped modeling a long time ago. and I lost this skyline...I said I tried to learn by myself, and it didnt work. because nobody's making a tutorial that ANYONE can understand.
