Glady's and the Pips have been always underrated. But their version of this tune, also like "I heard it through the grapevine" is an own and outstanding creation, because the harmony, supported by the drums and Jimmy's bass is here the pushing fact...

The version of the Temps is their own way to perform. Outstanding and very nice too.

Both versions are a must for a Motown fan like me since 1966

Interesting fact for those who don't know. I checked the Billboard charts, and they say, this record was issued in 1968, seven month after the Temptations original. The Temts reached Nr. 4 and Gladys only Nr. 41. I think it was released too soon, after the original's success.

Both versions are great.
