  • Gosh I love this anime so much!! Too bad they leave out too many parts. I want second season please!

  • @ViPERMiMiS i believe they are flute/oboe/koto/violins (as far as i can rely on my hearing)

  • Does someone knows how this instrument is called? They are used in japanese games like Ninja Gaiden and Genji but I can't find the name of this instrument and how the songs with this instrument are called.

    Thanks

  • i don't like the anime but i like the soundracks its so epic

  • @senaru14 yeah i don't think the anime told the story well

  • so beautiful. it brings tears to my eyes..!

  • I discovered the Tale of Genji in 1983. I have read the Seidenstecker translation many times and am now going through the Royal Tyler translation. It is not a book for the prudish because certain things were taken for granted about love in the emperor's court. However the only one was a sort of rape that women put up with to remain in court. Murasake Shikibu crafted a book of unexcelled beauty. She was the Shakespeare of Japanese literature & wrote the world's 1st novel.

  • @nor888vast695 Camprating Murasaki Shikibu with Shakespeare is such a big mistake that my eyes are bleeding. Nothing can be comprated to this book. Still, if you want to compare Shakespeare with a Japanese author, Chikamatsu Monzaemon seems to be better since if wrote about double suicide ( shinjû ) and forbidden love.

  • @DOA7ISHIKAWA I meant that Shikibu stood in relation to Japanese culture & writing as did Shakespeare stands to English. There was no attempt on my part to compare the two directly like runners against a clock. I have no Shakespeare works in my house. I do have Whaley, Seidenstecker, and Royall Tylers translations of the Genji.

  • so amazing music. I love the tale of Genji and both animes old & new.

  • @anime99love there's an OLD and a NEW anime???? plaese tell me the titles!!! (the one except genji monogatari sennenki). I'm bringing the tale of Genji as material for my exam and I can't read the books because they're waaaaay too long!!!!

  • @ninabigoloni yes there is an old anime in 1985 or 87. it is classic and so educational. it is called Genji Monogatari, and i think you can find it here in youtube.

  • SUENA DE MARAVILLA..
