Allah (swt) is describing the event that Dhulkarnine saw in surah Al-Kahf ch-18 V-86 that does not mean that Quran is unscientific or imperfect. Generally we see (it appears) to us that the sun sets and rises but actually we know it happens because of the rotation of the earth around the sun. Now when Allah describes what appears to us it does not mean that Allah is unaware of the phenomena of rotation it is a metaphorical way to express.

By the way, he didn't reach where the Sun sets, he reached a certain place where there was a muddy pool, and from there he saw the sun set. Allah (God) didn't state where that place is. He stated the area at which Dhul-Qarnain was when he saw the Sun set. In Arabic words have more then 1 meaning, that's why it is impossible to translate it accurately. If you want to understand the Qur'an, LEARN ARABIC!

Whenever there is a verse about punishment, there it's followed by one about eternal life in paradise, and so on. Next time you read the Quran keep an open mind, don't just focus on the verses you clearly are looking for, but read it just to learn, you will see why we Muslims are so stubborn.

The Quran and the Islamic Hadith state that Dhul-Qarnain was a Righteous man who believed in Allah (God), and in the message that was revealed to the prophet of his time, so Allah strengthened his leadership (Kingship), and eased his conquests. Some people say that some of these attributes resemble the ones that Alexander had, but then again, Alexander wasn't so righteous. His conquest was filled with blood and injustice.

@MrRamboseven - A prophesy within the OT mentions a New Covenant will replace the covenant ancient Israel agreed to accept with Elohim (Jeremiah 31:31) Verse 32 "it will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers". Israel was promised physical blessings. They broke that covenant because they didn't have Elohim's Holy Spirit in them. The second covenant (Matthew 26:28) made obviously was the spiritual covenant (Lev 23:15-16 -Pentecost, Acts 2:1-4-Pentecost, Luke 24:49-Pentecost).

There isn't any different "Way of life" or a change of commandments to live by! Jews and Christians should live by every Word of Yahweh. It is those of John 6:44 that by having The Holy Spirit do strive to obey every commandment of "the Way of life" (Exodus 20) which have ALWAYS existed and has always been Elohim's way of life in the first place.

The Koran claims it as a fact and is supported by the prophet himself. If the sun does not set in a pool of muddy water, then the Koran is in error.

Allah (swt) is describing the event that Dhulkarnine saw in surah Al-Kahf ch-18 V-86 that does not mean that Quran is unscientific or imperfect. Generally we see (it appears) to us that the sun sets and rises but actually we know it happens because of the rotation of the earth around the sun. Now when Allah describes what appears to us it does not mean that Allah is unaware of the phenomena of rotation it is a metaphorical way to express.

I recently read something about there being some hundred words from other languages (Greek, Coptic, Hebrew, Persian...non-Arabic) in the Quran, yet it says it is 'clear-Arabic'.
Does someone know more about that/how Muslims answer that? It seems like quite a strong argument to me.

After Christ died on the cross, everything changed, no war was to ever be considered holy in Christians' views, because we are to be peaceful, even to those who shed our blood, in order to quiet our faith. I say it now, it is your precious BOOKS, that intend to silence Christianity, not the other way around.

TheTaberLion, what way of life can this possibly be when there are two religions there? I mean, how can the Christian think that the Jews got everything wrong?
For example, the Holy Spirit to understand... what (if it is God)???
I find it VERY strange that you can put Islam as evil... seeing the Holy Bible as having another religion!
Can we put the Qur-an next to the O.T instead? I mean, on His concept, Islam is more closer (to Judaism)? If Xtianity has this wrong= a way of life?

TheTaberLion, stop and think (the Qur-an is of Satan): is the Holy Bible of God after a verse indicating that Paul was with a messenger of Satan? Also, why is the O.T (which Christianity says that it is the Jewish BIBILE) not exactly the Jewish Bible?
In light of this, well, the Qur-an corrects both the Jewish Bible as well as the Holy Bible... which one of these has mistakes (that the Qur-an came to fix- as a whole): the Holy Bible or the Jewish Bible? Answer: both.

You're doing the same as those Jews that pagan Muslim Muhammed that claimed to be twisting Scriptures for their benefit.

@MrRamboseven - Satan's filthy quran doesn't have one word that claims the text of original Scriptures are rewritten or tampered with! People as you making verbal changes, omitting, and twisting verses while reading and reciting the word of God is possible. Typical muslims claim that when non-muslims read Satan's quran. No one can find in Satan's quran referring to textual corruption of Scriptures. If it were true don't you believe typical muslim scholars would have produced them by now?
