@UberTankred You've never been in the ring yourself have you? It's damn hard to judge your own performance during a fight. And cheering influences the judges, so, what's to stop you, cheer it no matter what.

Besides, Kraus delivered a damn good match. The right gameplan, execution was alright as well. It's just that Petrosyan is such a great fighter that it didn't work. In the 2010 final Kraus did this same thing, but better, and was the only one who stood a chance at beating Petrosyan.

I can only see Buakaw as having the only chance to beat Petrosyan. In their first fight it was judged a draw, but I think Buakaw won that fight. Mind you Petrosyan is a better fighter now, so I think he will have a Advantage. I dont blame Buakaw not fighting in Max, after Japanese judges continue to be Biased and manipulate favoured fighters, Jap fighters + Souwer. Get Buakaw back, or Petrosyan will dominate with no one even coming close to stoping him!

Petrosyan is a very technical and good when facing fighters like kraus or masato but i dont think he would last with a fighter like yodsanklai or sanchai.

@solmyr2 The difference between buakaw and yodsanklai is buakaw was never ranked a top fighter in thailand, he's one of the best k1 fighters but in thailand he is considered good but not one of the best. Yod is champion of nearly every stadium in thailand and is ranked highly. He now has started fighting internationaly but has not yet been given as much opportunites as buakaw has been. Yod wants to fight in k1 and maybe soon he will. We just have to wait and see.

kinda true. Buakaw was ranked No.2 in lumpinee, the champion at that time was namsaknoi who was in the same camp. Thats y buakaw couldnt fight for the belt.Namsak was the top dog in the camp n more skilled n so is yod but in k1 that pure thai style doesnt work to good. Its too relaxed,too many single hits n posturing n too much emphasis on clinching. K1 wants a more dynamic punch kick busy combo style

True yod did more damage but he wasnt busy enough.Andy countered AND was the more busier fighter. Petrosyan is at his peak. Great jab, exceptional combos. He's lucky, too: Buakaw and Souwer will tire each other in all out war in the grand final before one of them meets him.

What Petrosyan can improve on is his defence. In that respect he's like Kyrshenko...only Kyshenko tends to power-punch himself out.

Punching bag? Conclusive proof that you either know nothing of kickboxing, or don't want to see it. Both of them are very good. Shame that it's not like both can advance further into the finals, they both deserve it.

Petrosyan has got the advantage of age though. Kraus is 29 now and has had a long career.

I disagree with the idea, that Kraus should advance into the finals. He is too slow, and one-dimensional, and a bad loser. He has achieved a lot, fought the best, but I think, doesn't belong to the best anymore.

I think you have it right with the final. But who wins? Petr. is just so good at the moment, but Andy is so consistent and well-prepared, and he does everything to reach his goals, except of being unfair. Good question, though :)

Yuya Yamamoto's succes came as sort of a surprise for me, I don't track his fights really. Just last year he was losing to the sub-top of the K1, and now he's suddenly beaten Drago, who's one of the best.

Petrosyan is world class though. Really technical.

Me, I think Buakaw is a better match for Petrosyan. Not one to go along in Buakaw's games like Holtzken unfortunately did in the quarter final.

Artofpoetry, you're right. I've seen a few fights of Petr. and he has really good lateral movement, and is thus hard to hit. A very intelligent fighter, too. Fights so smooth as if he was just playing. But so far we have not seen what happens if he really gets hit. When Kraus connects twice we see Petr. holding. And I think Kyshenko hits and kicks definitely harder than Kraus and would also have beaten or stopped Kraus easily. But you're right: the young gunz blazing. What about Holtzken?

Petrosyan is the goods. This is the first match of his I've watched properly, but the guy can really fight. He will give any of the top guys a run for his money. But Kyshenko / Petrosyan is the fight I'd like to see. Both can punch. But Petrosyan seems, on the basis of this fight at least, to have more lateral movement than Artur, and throws more combos. Artur is great, but it can only help the sport to have more than one young gun out there.

But to me Kyshenko seems more powerful than Petrosyan. Though I still think that Petr is an awesome fighter with incredible technique, extreme hand and foot speed and has a good chance to win this year's K1 Max Championship.

In the whole I think, Kyshenko is powerful, thicker in the body, and also a very good technician. It definitely would be an intriguing match. So let's see, what happens if they fight one day.

I've got to agree with the majority. Petr. really schooled Kraus, who just seemed not able to let go his punches, because of the way Petr. fought. Beautiful fight by Petr.

Petr. matched with Kyshenko would be a dream match in which I would favour Kyshenko a bit, because I think he hits and kicks harder. Somebody wrote that in the final 4 Petr. won't receive a lot of damage against Yuma. I don't agree, I think the pressure of Yuma will take also its toll on Petr. Still Petr. will win.

In my opinion it was part of the plan to fight Petrosyan with mainly boxing and stay close to him. Petr. has superior leg techniques, so try to neutralise them in an early stage and stay close to him and use your strongest weapons: for Kraus that are his fists. As far as I have seen all kicks from Petr. were blocked and Kraus was the most offensive fighter. Unfortunately for him Petr. can also punch and is at this stage a more complete fighter. Petrosyan-Kyshenko would have been a nice match...

Krus is much like andy, uses alot of punches less in kicking or knees. Andy on the other hand, great all around quick w/ hands but lack of power on the kicks. In this fight, totally all punches. He got schooled by Petrosyan.

Andy and Buakaw have to settle the score ( In k1 ). All last 4 fighters got months to prepare. This fight would be interesting. It won't be as fast paste as in 05 or 06 for sure. Cos Andy has to think twice before storming in like used to. It will be decision more likely. Who ever wins this final is doesn't matter. Cos Masato is waiting to take the spotlight away from the winner in December already if he wins. This sucks but it way of the Japanese - cos the house is always win- - ocean 11. LoL!
