  • this is a amazing video

  • this video is dope

  • what trail at 1:58? and is it good?

  • @Jcrongo "Devil's Club" -- yeah, it's dirty.

  • Wonderful video. Music goes well with this. Wish Northstar at Tahoe had good trails like this...

  • @TheAsianpwr Thanks buddy!

  • it's a crime this hasn't got more views, one of my videos uploaded around the same date, i think mine was on the 5th, has 370 something views, which is 5 times as much as this! But this is at least 370 times better than mine! As a say, its a crime, amazing vid guys, ALSO, i'm using a dslr for video and mine came out a little blurry, im yet to try a faster shutter speed, but how did you get it so sharp? what kind of shutter speeds and settings are you using?! cheers

  • @tombikess I think those guys were using GoPro HD cameras. Commonly used in more dangerous sports and insanely durable.

  • @TheAsianpwr yes I appreciate that for the helmet mounted stuff, but the shallow D.O.F. in the stuff at the start can only really be achieved by expensive cameras with DOF rigs or dslrs?!

  • @tombikess Yup, there are a couple of GoPro helmet/chest mounted shots, but the bulk of it was shot with a Canon 7D DSLR.

  • @tombikess Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I uploaded the video to some other sites (pinkbike and vimeo) which account for more views, so don't feel too bad ;) As for the settings, I can't quite remember what they were, but I do know that to emulate the look of film you're are supposed to use a shutter speed of 1/40 - 1/50. This makes the action blurry, but it flows better if you're using a tripod. Happy filming.
