One problem with their dating claim. You can't A. Carbon Date Stone and B. If you even could it would only give you the age of the stone not when the monument was built from it! It's also no point carbon dating things around the monument to claim it's age, like egyptologists do to claim the age of the pyramids, as any debris/element found around the monument could have been put their any time after the monument was built right up to the present day!
Dating sites comes primarily from layer content found around a Monument. Generally, the deeper you go the older it is. Disturbed layers are taken into account. A Coke bottle found next to an Auroch bone is a good example.
Stonehenge presented problems in this regard but these were overcome during the Restorations when datable material was found beneath the Stones. These can only have been put there when the Stone was originally raised.
agreed with carbeu sounds about right, look at the egyptions they had a toy plane that was aerodynamic as hell, "how did they figure that out" by learning from examples an trying again an again
i love how in these program recreations they never show our ancesters using oxen and horses ,even though they could calculate pye they didnt think to use a strong animal to help them move massive stones ...and the ancesters must be awfully cramped in there
@reksub10 Well, horses hadn't been domesticated at that point and very few were in Britain. The few that were were wild, and ponies. There were indeed oxen, that is true, and they were probably used to do a great deal of work, from farming to moving tool carts, and even manpower. Aurochs were considered very special animals which is why you tend to get their skulls buried at important henge monuments like Stonehenge. We've been given clues there, so why ignore them?
I get a sense that Aurochs may have been considered semi-sacred in Continental Cultures as well as in Britain (if in fact they were). At the Cave of Horses on the Ardeche in the Massif Central in France, the place is loaded with their images. None dead/none in scenes of hunting. The most recent of those images are 28,000 years ago, so there may have been something to it for enormous lengths of time that we'll never know about.

Zorats Karer in Armenia is certainly remarkable and, like StoneHenge, is both a Reliquary for the Dead & has solar alignments. It is older by 2,000 years, which makes it the same age of the StoneHenge Cursus.
Some of its buried Stones have star-maps of Cygnus, on which are featured Deneb, its alpha-star. Cygnus is cross-shaped, a popular motif in many cultures back-in-the-day.
Some conclusions are in question re: the horizonal holes in the Stones.

There is very little question that large animals were used in hauling the Stones.
However, your time-stamp is off by about 20,000 years. Though very old, StoneHenge isn't That old.
There were no Mammoths at the time the Henge was constructed. There were, however, Oxen, and it is entirely plausible that they were employed for some of this work.
I'm gonna laugh with joy when the ships decloak around the earth. It's gonna cause a lot of confusion in the minds of the weak and fearful, those who refuse to be open to change... those who project hate and ugliness into the world... :) I look forward to that day.
Wally Wallington has pretty good ideas on how large objects can be moved by very few people. Stonehenge could have been made in a very short period of time. He has a vid on youtube.
You forget that SH was constantly changing, by the time you got the final phase the first phase would have been as mysterious to them as it is to us. It evolved over 1000yrs from a simple bluestone circle, and then sarsens added, bluestones taken away as different influences & dominant religions flourished. The moon may have been important initially, and then the sun took dominance with the large stones & horsehoe open to the sunrise. They weren't working to a time scale!
The native people of Britain dummy. If your maternal grandmother was born in the UK and had ancestry to the UK, you have a excellent change of having ancestors back 5,000yrs ago in Britain. Unlike the history books say, they didn't disappear. They were not wiped out by romans, normans, saxons or vikings. Those 'invaders' didn't even dent the gene pool.
That information too complex for your small brain or something? I'm talking DNA and our heritage. Your answer was weak, uneducated & pointless. Go back to your Harry Potter & Twilight books ... You sound like you're 12. LMAO
@sonofherne actually if you look at my channel, you will see that I am a 29 year old educated female. I've been through college, and I don't have time to invest in things like Harry Potter and Twilight, but I do appreciate your insults. They make you only appear to be an insensitive insulting human being, which only goes to prove the points I make through my channel. Where is the love? Where is the humanity?
@fayblefairy Don't listen to those who wish to blindly insult you. They're only trying to protect the fragility of their misunderstanding. People like them hold our civilization back from transitioning from human animals into human intelligence. :)
@sonofherne You must really be lacking positive energies in your personal life to have to consistantly feel the need to insult your fellow man. I do believe that what you project here on youtube could be classified as hate speech. You may want to consider toning it down before someone reports you.
@sonofherne You seem to be most educated. Wise one, please explain the explosion of the Aryan race that only took place 45,000 years ago, as humans existed more than 50,000 years ago. And also, great one, explain the writings in the Mahabarata. I look to you since you seem to know all :)
Aryan is an outdated designation which no anthropologist would use today. Sorry Mr Hitler! Technically the Aryans are people's from India. Of course humans existed more than 50,000yrs ago but didn't call themselves that & most of the people you would call them weren't even in Europe at this time. 40,000yrs ago we were still in the old stone age, leading a hunter gatherer existence.
Your most childish put downs are hilarious. My sides are splitting. You should go into comedy. Seriously.
@SynCity13 Put everything aside for one minute here. Why then are you trolling a thread about Stonehenge when it has zero to do with Aryans, Asians, UFO's, Nazi's etc. All of your posts here that I've seen have served no useful purpose to these discussions on Stonehenge. Go use your politics on another thread.
@sonofherne I never said once that Aryans were white. lol you assumed thats what i meant. Read my comment once more before you make yourself look like an idiot again. There is no political drive propaganda behind such a simple comment that stirred you ever so greatly. Actually the most hilarious thing in the world is seeing someone get so pissed of at a comment they dont yet have the capacity to understand. I wasnt trolling anything, you took it that way, oversensitive bigot :) have a nice day!
@SynCity13 Read my above topic and stop trolling about Aryans here. They have zero to do with Stonehenge, Why are you actually here other than to stir up bad feeling and controversy? You must realise if you bring up your crackpot theories that have no historical basis, you will get shot down.
Hope you have a really NICE day someplace else, but if you DO stay I will continue to make sure you are shown up for the eejit you seem to be.
@sonofherne Lmao youre so angry! XD Really, honestly are you not getting it? Let me break it down s-l-o-w-l-y: I never said Aryans were white. You assumed that. If you want proof, re-read my comment and your comments right after. From a psychologists point of view, your hostility signifies that you feel threatened by my comment and you are trying to fight it by putting words in my e-mouth XD You're so adorable!
@SynCity13 On the contrary. I'm totally cool. You're the one getting agrivated because someone is daring to question your bizarre trolling. You seem to enjoy twisting truths and don't ever seem to want to address WHY it is you are on this thread when you've contributed NOTHING towards the greater understanding of Stonehenge. I make no claims about Aryans being white. You are the one who brought up the subject of race. I'm a asian female. Blah Blah. What's that got to do with anything?
@sonofherne Why is it trolling? It's only trolling if it offends someone and I think everyone else on this thread realizes that this is a land where freedom of speech is encouraged. Like I said, refer to ALL of the comments again. When I said "Aryan" you assumed I meant white because you responded by calling me Mr. Hitler (I wonder why? :)) and telling me to preach my politics somewhere else. Who are you to say for me not to insult fellow man when you insulted FaybleFaery? Hypocrite.
@SynCity13 Fayblefairie posted what I believed to be a quite selfish & arrogant opinion about not ruining the fantasy she had created for herself. Sorry, but this is a discussion thread and I, like anyone, are going to shoot down someone who gets their facts very wrong or is indulgent.
Not that I'm remotely interested in the reason you mentioned Aryans to begin with, because it has nothing to do with Stonehenge. You don't seem to answer the question, do you?
@sonofherne Ive already answered your question but you dont seem to be listening. You even stated that I should tone my "hatespeech" down before someone reports me. What hatespeech? I merely stated that the development of the White Aryan race just developed. This is scientifically proven, so i guess scientists are Nazis to you then. How is FaybleFaerie wrong? Who are you to decide what she believes or rejects?
@sonofherne And you are going to shoot someone down who doesnt agree with you? You sound very much like the people who start wars without reason. You are very narrow minded and you need to study more upon the origins of man before you decide to face an educated person :) Tell me, what experience do you have on this subject? it seems that you choose to shoot at me for religious purposes. Afraid to step out of God's line, are we? Is your god really that cruel?
@SynCity13 This paper trail you're leaving for yourself is undefendeable. What actually have you contributed to the Stonehenge debate? I happen to really enjoy this documentary and consider myself an authority on the subject. I would suggest you get things back on track and start making sense. Aryans have nothing to do with prehistoric Britain. You're clearly out of your depth and enjoy argument. You have to direct that towards actually making yourself understood and sticking to the point.
@sonofherne It's funny how you say one thing and quickly switch to another in hopes to defend yourself and your horseshit principles. You're the one who evidently enjoys the argument because you keep responding, but you still try to argue with the same words and no understanding in efforts to deny that you take pride in arguing with someone. I ask you, why make the effort to take the splinter out of my eye when you will not take the plank sticking out of your skull? :D Pathetic...
@SynCity13 I ask again, as you seem quite unable to understand the written word. What has this to do with the video about Stonehenge? Contribute something and don't spam the list with your bile and personal agenda. you're jyst pissed because someone has challenged your trolling. Aryans have nothing to do with anything here. i honestly don't understand why you are here.
@sonofherne No I merely asked a question. You're riled up because you're too immature to answer the question like an adult. I will state one last time that Stonehenge was not built by human hands alone and I merely stated that the Aryan race just appeared out of thin air recently. I never said it had anything to do with stonehenge but it was a clue about our creators, whom I believe had a hand in creating stonehenge as well. This is where I stop. I have made my point,
@SynCity13 Your point is irrelevant and has no proof. Not built by human hands? LoL What a dim view of humanity you must have, too much science fiction and Eric Von Daniken missy. This is where you stop and get laughed off stage. Adios!
I confess that I am at a bit of a loss understanding a portion of your remark ...
Is it your contention that StoneHenge wasn't built by Humans alone?
I would be very much interested in your interpretation of who, in your view, assisted in either the conception or construction (or both) of it.
I assure you that I am very broad-minded when it comes to these things, and it is quite possible that I have overlooked something in my 30 years of studying these things.
@SynCity13 LMAO I am an archaeologist first, anthropologist second. And you are ... out of your depth. I know Stonehenge intimately, and it wasn't anything to do with any aliens or advanced beings. You're on a losing battle and have now lost your credibility. It's somewhere behind your forked tongue.
@zamrok73 A wise man once told me it was created by shamans. At certain moon cycles practitioners would harness spiritual energy to speak to the dead. If the correct spirits/djinn were summoned man could resurrect the deceased. A ritual would be conducted relieving the host human (sacrifice) of its body. The spirit would then return to acquire a new body. But man no longer calls upon these spirits, civilization advanced and they are long forgotten. Some still know & practice though.
@Lhaitan Okaaaay, it somehow validates your story because some wise woman said it huh? Reminds me of Monty Python, "Do you think listening to some watery tart is the basis for a good system of government?"
Nice imaginmation some people have. It must be frustrating there's no physical evidence for it and that if it were true, you'd think with all these wise women and men we'd be all so knowledgeable now about our past...
Was that meant for me? I ruined the magic for you did I? Grow up. There's plenty of mystery & magic in truth, it's always far better than any fiction made up by neo pagans & fantasy writers. Life is a quest, you should no that. a neverending search for truth, knowledge & enlightenment. Enlighten yourself, read a few archaeology books. Don't remain in ignorance, it's the 21st century.
Really? That's very selfish! That's what governments and religion has done for a millenia. We'd still be in the Stone Age if no one questioned or discovered anything. Quest for knowledge and truth is the purest thing still left in this world. At last we can dispel tired old images of shaggy barbarians and noble Druids.
It allways makes me laugh that people think back in those days people were so primitive. True history shows the farther back in history the more creative people were. the signs are everywere. thanks to Darwin nobody can admit that!!!
@carbeu71 Very true. I think we are the dumb ones for underestimating our ancestors. Yes, they couldn't fly a man to the moon or use a mobile phone, but you can teach them to and they would understand. Man was no less intelligent just because he constructed things from wood and stone. Religion has surpressed history and lied to us. Even now they are some who believe the Earth is only 5,000yrs old. They are the primitives.
@sonofherne There is proof that the Templar Knights screwed with the word of god. The dead sea scrolls were recently found, why were they hidden? Not only that but have you noticed that our darkest times were when we were the most religious? (Medieval times, etc.) Now why would such a merciful god do such a thing? Because god today was a creation of man. The gods seen by the Sumerians werent gods at all, but advanced beings with the technology we have today.
@carbeu71 Actually, the theory of evolution doesn't say that we evolve in a GOOD way. We have actually evolved into a race that needs food, water, rooves over our heads and every day luxaries. In honesty, we've evolved to be worse than perhaps people in the 1800's. Our intelligence hasnt really improved, we just have more examples other people have figured out and the help of technology.
@carbeu71 Honestly, darwin was an idiot. How the hell did we make the quantum leap from monkeys to mostly hairless, intelligent beings (look into the origins of the Aryan race) with a diverse set of genetics. Monkeys are either black or brown (or within the shades of those) with dark eyes. But where did white skin, freckles, red/blonde hair, green/blue/hazel eyes?

@SynCity13 LMAO I am an archaeologist first, anthropologist second. And you are ... out of your depth. I know Stonehenge intimately, and it wasn't anything to do with any aliens or advanced beings. You're on a losing battle and have now lost your credibility. It's somewhere behind your forked tongue.

Stonehenge sounds satanic to me

@zamrok73 A wise man once told me it was created by shamans. At certain moon cycles practitioners would harness spiritual energy to speak to the dead. If the correct spirits/djinn were summoned man could resurrect the deceased. A ritual would be conducted relieving the host human (sacrifice) of its body. The spirit would then return to acquire a new body. But man no longer calls upon these spirits, civilization advanced and they are long forgotten. Some still know & practice though.

@Lhaitan so it was used by crazy nutjobs?

@zamrok73 Precisely.

@Lhaitan i want some of their marijuana brownies O_o

@Lhaitan Okaaaay, it somehow validates your story because some wise woman said it huh? Reminds me of Monty Python, "Do you think listening to some watery tart is the basis for a good system of government?"
Nice imaginmation some people have. It must be frustrating there's no physical evidence for it and that if it were true, you'd think with all these wise women and men we'd be all so knowledgeable now about our past...

so i assume you would like to ruin the magic of all the other wonders of the world too. hows your quest have you discovered anything lately.
thecause04 2 years ago
Was that meant for me? I ruined the magic for you did I? Grow up. There's plenty of mystery & magic in truth, it's always far better than any fiction made up by neo pagans & fantasy writers. Life is a quest, you should no that. a neverending search for truth, knowledge & enlightenment. Enlighten yourself, read a few archaeology books. Don't remain in ignorance, it's the 21st century.
sonofherne 2 years ago
id rather have the world preserve the mystery its exciting to think about!
thecause04 2 years ago
Really? That's very selfish! That's what governments and religion has done for a millenia. We'd still be in the Stone Age if no one questioned or discovered anything. Quest for knowledge and truth is the purest thing still left in this world. At last we can dispel tired old images of shaggy barbarians and noble Druids.

A home for anteaters?
Are they serious?
Actually this makes a lot of sense because they'd eat mostly outdoors like a picnic and ants would be a problem.

It allways makes me laugh that people think back in those days people were so primitive. True history shows the farther back in history the more creative people were. the signs are everywere. thanks to Darwin nobody can admit that!!!
carbeu71 3 years ago 11
@carbeu71 Very true. I think we are the dumb ones for underestimating our ancestors. Yes, they couldn't fly a man to the moon or use a mobile phone, but you can teach them to and they would understand. Man was no less intelligent just because he constructed things from wood and stone. Religion has surpressed history and lied to us. Even now they are some who believe the Earth is only 5,000yrs old. They are the primitives.
sonofherne 1 year ago
@sonofherne There is proof that the Templar Knights screwed with the word of god. The dead sea scrolls were recently found, why were they hidden? Not only that but have you noticed that our darkest times were when we were the most religious? (Medieval times, etc.) Now why would such a merciful god do such a thing? Because god today was a creation of man. The gods seen by the Sumerians werent gods at all, but advanced beings with the technology we have today.
SynCity13 1 year ago

@carbeu71 LOL you cant blame darwin
