  • WAY TO GO BASS SECTION, MORE BARI NEEDED THOUGH. first trumpet extremly flat at 0:33 almost a different note, good sax solo. background could come down. trumpets dragging after piano solo. my school group can play this, and we are a middle school. way to go on the last note trumpet. a hery hard note to hit

  • Basie Straight ahead is a very hard piece to play in a swinging way, you have to have years of lead experience (trumpet)!

Why is the last note hard to hit? its just a high D, the three notes before are supposed to be high F's, much harder to hit! (which he misses b.t.w., he plays D's instead)

    (no offense b.t.w.)

  • nobody got's it yet - the lead trumpet is flat! That's partly why it lacks energy. Plus he plays straight, no lead inflection. And boy those last four chords went nowhere - ready, hello?!

  • no LEAD inflection? no inflection in general. it just doesn't swing....is this a professional group or a local group?...does anyone know?

  • kentons B52 formation great to see .

  • good job! but ya i have to say the trumpets need to be on top of the perimid! they also need to stop playing into their stands too. but overall it was good!!

  • trumpets are dragging... lead trumpet needs to be more on top but its good though

  • actually the rest of the band needs to be under...but yes he should have been playing louder.
