Very beautiful. For some reason it makes me feel strange. Maybe it's the human struggle, or something spiritual. Or maybe the sense of seeing such a massive monument of civilization out in the middle of a cruel and inhospitable land where clearly nothing else remains of the people who settled here. this bridge was old railway made in 1937. now this bridge is just left in the lake and not used any more.

but this beautiful bridge is really special because you can't usually see the whole bridge. this bridge is under water in summer and under snow in winter. you can see the whole bridge only for a couple weeks in spring.

i could see the whole bridge 2 years ago but i was really lucky.

This bridge (it called Rainbow Bridge; but i'm not sure about this) is on Hokkaido island in Japan.

There is a certain character to anything that's truly old...like this bridge. It exposes all the signs of its story...its essence all over it....if one just takes the time to look. It's like that part of the Japanese tea ceremony where the guests spend a few minutes examining, in silence, the tea cup. It's a concept we really have not formally developed in the USA. ...unlike Japan. Ah well...It's one of those "odd couple" things...as the US / Japan relationship has been described. Good video.
