me and my mom saw a wild turkey right in my backyard! I didn't know there were really any wild turkeys in northern Ohio and never did I think I would ever see a wild one in my backyard! Yeah I live out in the country but I didn't know I lived that far out! I tried to get a picture or vid with my camera and even trekked the little woods out back but alas the elusive turkey disappeared!

His gobble gobble is a reply to the train horn.

I agree. The gobble was a shock response to the train whistle.
He's likely waiting for other birds, pointed towards their afternoon feed or evening roost.

Too bad I couldnt find this guy last season. Lone tom, gobbling on his own. I bet I coulda had him in gun range in 5 minutes. Those are the best, they come in like lone jakes gobbling thier asses off.
